The brothers are back with episode 101 of the Sumo Survival Bushcraft Podcast.

Shane from Glenrothes asks the guys for advice on sewing a patch onto a waterproof pack or jacket. Sean shares a technique that he used often when he was a teenager and the brother talk about the possible problems in sews patches onto modern textiles.

Macclesfield based Michael asks if airlift smoke grenades would be suitable to be a good addition to his outdoor safety kit. The fellas talk about why this really should not be an option and what getting the correct safety equipment is essential.

David from Peterborough asks for some advice on buying boots suitable for bushcraft use. Sean talks about what kind of boots he would look for and Sy shares some insights as well.

Fellow Scotsman Andy from Edinburgh asks a question about SAK style knives and which brand offers the better knife. The brothers talk about the knives and the possibility of a future comparison test to see which is better for the bush crafter.

Long time listener Brian from Skegness asks the guys what they would like to change in the bushcraft community over the coming year. The guys talk about what they would like to change and why.

Sy catches up with Neil and Graham from Aviemore based Back Country Survival (https://www.backcountrysurvival.co.uk/) and they talk about their recent Winter Skills Course which a number of listeners attended. They talk about the importance of learning these skills and making sure that you have the correct knowledge for the areas that you are intending on being in. The guys also talk about some upcoming additions to the Back Country Survival roster of courses.
