This episode was incredibly hard to make. I wanted to wait as long as possible from the recent protests to allow women and victims to have the space to speak for themselves. Subsequently, within the past two weeks, three women were murdered as well as a baby, in Australia. Not killed, murdered at the hands of men. This doesn't even encapsulate the thousands of women every single day in fear for the lives and the lives of their children. There is no good time to talk about this, there is only now. I believe more than ever, that unless we form a precise and powerful picture of what it means to be a man, our boys will not have anything to step into, and what will replace it is a toxic and repressed form that looks like a man but is nothing like one. I can't speak for women, and I would never try and take that place, but I must speak out. I must. I hope this finds it's way to the men that want to be better, the parents with boys struggling what to do, and anyone wanting a love centred world.
