Brittanee Drexel went missing from Myrtle Beach, SC on April 25, 2009 while there with friends during spring break. In 2016 an FBI informant stated he saw Brittany several days after her disappearance and she was being sexually assaulted and eventually murdered. Her remains were then disposed of in the "pit" an area known for alligators.

Can this information be true and/or trusted or is the informant just giving false information for a lighter prison sentence. The information seemed credible enough for the FBI to hold a press conference and declare a suspect and deem Drexel's disappearance a murder.
