Hey Prime members, you can listen to

Download the app today. I

0:18

don't know if there's a connection there. I mean, I've been investigating

0:21

and I feel like I'm at the CSI

0:23

here and trying to figure out every possible

0:25

reason why he'd go that direction. My

0:27

whole deal is finding him first and the

0:29

more we get his story out there, maybe the better

0:31

resources we can get out on the river to find

0:33

him. Part of what's

0:35

so hard about this situation is

0:38

there are so many unanswered questions. And

0:41

even answers that we do

0:43

get bring even more questions. When

0:46

we've seen him on camera in Carmine

0:48

and confirmed it was him, you know,

0:50

you feel excited because yes, it's him.

0:53

You see it for real. It's really

0:55

him. But then come on with

0:57

questions. Well, why was he there? How

0:59

long was he there? What was he

1:01

doing there? So it's such a

1:03

hard thing because even when you feel like you're

1:06

getting answers, you just get five

1:08

more questions. It

1:10

was the first weekend in November

1:12

of 2023 when Jared McCullough left

1:15

his home in Louisiana and set

1:17

out for what appears to be a spur of the

1:19

moment trip to Illinois to visit his son. During

1:22

Jared's drive across several states, the

1:24

time changed falling back one hour,

1:27

which has caused confusion as his

1:29

loved ones work to establish a

1:31

definitive timeline of his disappearance based

1:33

on phone pings, surveillance footage and

1:36

receipts. At some point during

1:38

Jared's trip, he veered off course and

1:40

headed east away from his intended

1:43

destination and no one seems to know why.

1:46

There was an unconfirmed sighting of Jared,

1:48

his truck and dogs at a restaurant

1:50

near the border between Illinois and Indiana.

1:53

According to records, his truck ran out of gas

1:55

and the battery later died around 6 30 p.m.

1:58

Jared's phone last synced. around that same

2:00

time as well. Law enforcement

2:03

searched around the vehicle to no avail.

2:05

Then, others stepped up to help with the search

2:08

efforts and were stumped. Jared

2:10

left behind a trail of bizarre clues that no

2:12

one has been able to piece together in

2:14

order to solve this mystery, at least not

2:16

yet. I'm Marissa and

2:19

3:12

working on Jared's story, a famous quote came

3:14

to mind. It's one that

3:17

most of you listening have probably seen circulating

3:19

across social media when some kind of

3:21

tragedy happens in the world. The

3:23

quote is from Mr. Rogers and he said,

3:25

When I was a boy and I would

3:27

see scary things in the news, my mother would

3:30

say to me, Look for the helpers. You

3:32

will always find people who are helping. An

3:35

aspect of Jared's story that came into

3:37

focus during research were the helpers. People

3:39

who had never met Jared. People who

3:42

had had their own tragic losses in their lives

3:44

that drew them to want to help others. It

3:46

can serve to restore our faith and humanity

3:48

a bit when we see selfless acts of

3:51

kindness going on around us. And

3:53

it's these helpers that Tammy connected with along

3:55

the way who spoke with us for our

3:57

second installment of Jared's series. In

4:00

the days following Jared's disappearance, Tammy

4:02

was states away in West Virginia, scrambling

4:05

to find local resources to aid in

4:07

the search for her son. Jared's

4:09

truck was found parked next to a river, so

4:12

naturally the concern was that he could be in the

4:14

water. Whether the cause be some

4:16

kind of accident, foul play, or self-harm, it

4:18

was anybody's guess at that point, but Tammy

4:21

knew that the river needed to be looked

4:23

at. From what I

4:25

understand, DNR is in control of that. I think

4:27

they said for, I've heard a

4:29

week, I've heard five days, and

4:32

then all the locals though only told me they

4:34

only seen them down there one day. So, I

4:36

mean, I wasn't there, I'm out of state, so I

4:38

can't tell you by fact all I

4:40

know is what people tell me. Tammy

4:44

knew that more needed to be done to

4:46

look for Jared in that area, so she

4:48

got in touch with Ronnie from Brothers Underwater

4:50

Recovery. Ronnie helped search for

4:52

missing people and has a YouTube channel where

4:54

you can find videos about the cases and

4:56

searches he conducts. We spoke with

4:58

Ronnie and asked him to explain how he got

5:00

involved in this line of work. Well,

5:03

I had a buddy of mine that had

5:05

an accident in the Ohio River and

5:08

we've been searching for him, but that's

5:11

been almost five years ago.

5:14

That's basically why I become a diver

5:16

and started looking for missing people and

5:18

helping families. Ronnie

5:20

lives less than two hours away from where Jared's

5:22

truck was found. He was able to

5:24

come out within days to help aid in the search

5:26

efforts on the water. We

5:29

do a sonar search and recovery on

5:31

waterways and I also have a cadaver dog

5:34

that we've done extensive searching

5:36

on Jared with also. So

5:39

I'm actually working a case

5:41

over in Evansville, Indiana that's

5:44

Andy Wagner. A bunch of

5:46

people on my YouTube channel had mentioned

5:48

to me about this case, so I

5:50

started looking into it, got on Facebook,

5:53

did all my research. Tammy

5:55

got ahold of me and then we started

5:57

talking and then I went and searched the

5:59

river. before. My

6:02

thank you was only missing for

6:04

about eight days, eight or

6:06

nine days. So right against the

6:08

river you have a strip of woods

6:10

and then there's a road on the

6:13

other side of that opposite of the

6:15

river. And then I would

6:18

more or less call this a creek not

6:20

really a river. It's pretty

6:22

wide but on the other

6:24

side of that road you have a

6:27

vast amount of corn fields

6:29

and wheat fields and just

6:32

farmland. It's not really

6:34

a lot of wooded area just

6:37

spots of wooded area and

6:40

the rest of us just open farmlands.

6:43

The river was super shallow. It

6:46

was anywhere from six inches

6:48

to two foot mostly.

6:50

I mean there was a

6:52

few spots that were around nine ten feet

6:55

but the majority of it

6:57

was anywhere from six inches to two

6:59

feet deep. We went that morning

7:01

about ten o'clock and I think we got off

7:03

the water about eight o'clock. We

7:06

went from Allendale all the way down to

7:08

Mount Carmel. A

7:10

ride around where the truck was at which is like

7:12

two feet deep which we did focus

7:14

on that area a lot and then

7:16

the debris field on each side of

7:18

the river where the the

7:21

snag ups would be at in

7:23

deeper water that's what we searched a

7:25

lot. At that time it's

7:27

basically just a big old rock at

7:30

the bottom. So I

7:32

have a Solix 15. It's

7:34

a hummingbird. I

7:36

have down imaging, side imaging

7:38

and live vision. So

7:41

I can look at things under

7:43

logs or around debris

7:45

piles in real-life time.

7:48

Found nothing that indicated that he was

7:50

in the river at all. You

7:53

will hear others discuss later that the river

7:55

is now much higher but back

7:57

in November the water levels were low. We

8:00

asked Ronnie if there were any scenarios in

8:02

his mind in which Jared could have stopped

8:05

there for some unknown reason. Perhaps to let

8:07

his dogs run, take a break or whatever

8:09

and happen to slip and fall into the

8:11

river. If a situation like

8:13

that had occurred, would a person get swept

8:16

away easily by the current and water that

8:18

shallow? The only

8:20

way I could see him getting swept

8:22

away, I mean it was a little

8:24

bit of a current. About

8:26

two foot of water where his truck was

8:28

at and that's two foot of water all

8:31

the way across this river. He

8:33

would have had to slip, possibly

8:35

hit his head and been

8:37

unconscious and then he could have

8:39

been swept away. But if he would

8:41

have just slipped, fell, he could have stood

8:43

right up and walked right back up out of the bank.

8:45

Out of the river. With as much

8:48

debris and trees and things

8:50

like that, and that on

8:53

both sides of the banks, out of straight

8:55

river, this current goes to one side of

8:57

the bank to the other side of the

8:59

bank. In my opinion, I

9:01

believe he would have got hung up

9:04

in some of that logs and debris.

9:07

An accident needs to be considered in any

9:09

case like this with a huge body of

9:11

water right next to a missing person's vehicle.

9:14

But Samantha didn't see that as a

9:16

likely possibility once she visited the area

9:18

herself. There is a

9:22

steep embankment there leading

9:24

down to the river. You have

9:26

a tree line and I would say

9:28

that's about four to five feet and

9:31

then it kind of drops off down to the river.

9:33

But you would be navigating

9:35

carefully through there. It's all grown up

9:38

with sticks and briars and

9:40

trees. It's not somewhere that you

9:42

would just run up there and

9:44

accidentally fall down in the river.

9:46

The river is really not that

9:48

deep right there usually. Unless there's

9:51

been extra rain to make

9:53

it come up, it's no more

9:55

than a foot deep in

9:57

most of the river. Well,

9:59

speak to me. with Ronnie, he said that he doesn't

10:01

believe that Jared is in the water in the

10:03

area where he searched, so he can't be 100%

10:06

sure. These types of searches are

10:08

not an exact science. In

10:11

my opinion, he's not in the area that

10:14

we looked at the time we looked at

10:16

it. He could have been further

10:18

up or further down and it's

10:21

one of those things to where, and keep

10:24

in mind there was two boats that

10:26

actually did sonar in

10:28

this area. Not just myself,

10:30

there was another crew actually, sonar too.

10:33

But if you miss something and

10:35

anybody that runs sonar can tell you if

10:37

you miss something by an inch, you missed

10:39

it by a mile. So I

10:41

can 1000% say that he wasn't in

10:44

that area, but everything that I searched,

10:46

I did not see anything. Ronnie

10:49

has published videos chronicling his search efforts

10:51

for Jared. You can find them on

10:53

his YouTube channel Brothers Underwater

10:55

Recovery. There's yet another local

10:57

group who aided in the search efforts for

11:00

Jared as well. Band together

11:02

canine search, rescue and retrieval.

11:04

Husband and wife team Jack and

11:06

Alicia joined the search for Jared in

11:08

the early weeks of the investigation. They

11:11

both explained what brought them into this line of

11:13

work. That was out

11:15

at 9-11. I was part of

11:17

the searching afterwards. I didn't

11:19

have dogs in. I didn't have

11:21

dogs until actually I met Alicia.

11:23

She's had the German Shepherds and

11:25

I'm a retired firefighter.

11:28

I had 30 years on the fire

11:30

department. I retired within the last five

11:33

years. And then we moved down here

11:35

to, I guess the closest biggest city

11:37

would be Effingham, Illinois. We're

11:39

a very rural area where we're

11:42

out in the country. None of

11:44

the surrounding counties really have dogs.

11:46

They don't have search teams and

11:49

they kind of disappointed us in

11:51

a way. And we had

11:53

the dogs. It took my wife putting

11:55

a message on Facebook, okay, do you guys need dogs?

11:58

And they're like, yeah, bring them out. I

12:00

don't know, they just seem to be a little

12:02

bit behind the times. We

12:04

also work with Brothers Underwater Recovery.

12:07

What made us start up our own was

12:09

I was on a search team up

12:11

in Northwest Indiana with my dogs before

12:13

I met my husband and my cousin

12:16

was murdered last year here in Crawford

12:18

County, Ryan Wagner was, and there was

12:20

no search team. Just, we don't have

12:22

them. My family, you know, we're sitting there

12:25

wondering where he's at. No one's searching. There

12:27

was none. That was a big thing. When

12:29

we decided to make our own was we

12:31

need search teams. He may not have been

12:33

missing as long as he was. So it's

12:35

just a big need. Alicia

12:38

and Jack started bringing their dogs out to

12:40

the area to search for Jared whenever time

12:42

allowed. Alicia saw so many

12:44

similarities between her cousin's case and Jared's.

12:47

She felt drawn to help. We

12:50

saw the story on Jared.

12:53

About three weeks into him being

12:55

missing, Tammy contacted us. It's

12:57

about an hour and 15 minutes away from us.

13:00

Obviously, you know, I've been out in the rugged

13:03

areas with my dog, with my

13:05

wife four or five times. My

13:07

wife is almost in daily

13:10

communication with Tammy. You

13:12

know, hey, is there anything new on

13:14

the case? Has anything broke? Has a

13:16

detective car called? I have a

13:18

special place for Jared in my heart because of my

13:21

cousin. There's just a lot of details that were

13:23

very similar. We got our closure. I want to

13:25

give Tammy her closure. So what

13:27

struck me odd and it's

13:29

one reason that I am so dedicated to

13:32

Jared's case is again, my cousin

13:34

that was murdered, he had his dog with

13:36

him and it was same thing there. Dog

13:38

was in the truck. He was tied

13:40

to it though, but it was a person

13:43

that Ryan knew. So I did

13:46

find that odd and it leads me more to

13:48

believe, you know, that it was more Jared

13:50

didn't mean to leave. Last

13:53

week, you heard about the warrants that were later

13:55

issued for Jared after he failed to show

13:57

up for a court date after he disappeared.

13:59

When Back in Alicia joined the search

14:01

efforts. They began canvassing the area and

14:03

were surprised by the responses they received

14:06

from locals. Was Jared a missing

14:08

person who was lost and possibly needed help

14:10

or was Jared a dangerous person who may harm

14:12

them? Should they be looking for him

14:14

or be on the lookout for him for their own safety?

14:18

Me and my wife in that area, we

14:20

did a lot of knocking on doors and

14:22

stuff to see if they had cameras or

14:24

anything like that. A lot of them had

14:26

ADT signs in their yard but they said

14:29

they bought those off of Amazon to make

14:31

people think that they had cameras. But we

14:33

had about half of them say, well,

14:35

we don't know who that is. We've never

14:37

heard of this. And then we had the

14:39

other half say, well, isn't he dangerous? The

14:42

sheriff actually released that he could

14:44

be dangerous, do not approach him

14:46

sort of thing. So

14:48

that scared a lot of people

14:50

because farming community, I mean, you

14:52

have a lot of elderly people and

14:55

all you're doing by saying that is scaring the

14:57

crap out of them. And another thing

14:59

that's not like the suburbs or

15:01

in the city, if you call 911,

15:03

you're going to have a police officer there within

15:05

three to four minutes. Whereas

15:07

in the country, normally it's

15:10

county and it might take them

15:12

10, 15 minutes to get out

15:14

there. And a lot of damage can be done

15:16

by then. But we have

15:18

confirmed that with an officer and he said

15:20

that it's petty. He said he'd get right out. Yeah,

15:23

they'd arrest him for a warrant. But he'd get

15:25

right out. He said it's just petty. It's literally he

15:27

missed this appointment. He said it looked like it

15:30

was about two and a half, three weeks after

15:32

he was reported missing. His last

15:34

scheduled meeting with his parole officer

15:36

and then he was going to

15:38

be off probation. So why

15:41

would you do that? And then say, oh, well, I'm

15:43

just going to escape. Why would you just run

15:45

when you know that you only have two weeks left and

15:47

then you're completely done? You're you're scot-free,

15:49

let alone he was working on getting custody of his

15:52

son. And his son was most likely going to

15:54

be living with him shortly after that. They were

15:56

just waiting for all his legal

15:58

issues to go away. Two weeks. That's

16:00

all he had to wait. So why would he

16:02

go on the run? He actually had more reasons

16:04

to stay put than he did to go on

16:06

the run. Let

16:18

me guess. Your medicine cabinet is crammed with

16:20

stuff that doesn't work. You still aren't sleeping.

16:22

You still hurt and you're stressed out. That's

16:24

18:35

you hear the timeline of Jared's disappearance,

18:37

it can be confusing. One

18:40

thing that many people ask is why he was

18:42

stopping at all of those gas stations and putting

18:44

relatively small amounts of gas into his truck. Samantha

18:47

has wondered about this too. She isn't

18:49

completely sure, but Jared did pass through

18:51

some very rural areas, places

18:53

you may drive miles and miles without finding

18:55

a gas station to stop at. Perhaps

18:58

Jared wanted to keep his truck filled up

19:00

or maybe he had spent time driving around

19:02

in the early morning hours while waiting to meet

19:04

up with his ex. Before

19:07

Jared left Louisiana

19:10

where he was at to go to Illinois, he

19:13

fueled up. He put, I can't

19:15

remember exactly how much, because my aunt

19:17

found a receipt, but he put at

19:20

least $50 in the

19:22

truck. And I think what it was is that

19:24

once he got up to

19:26

the Salem area where he was supposed to

19:28

be going, he didn't feel

19:30

the need to fill the truck all

19:32

the way up anymore. Like he had

19:35

completed the big stretch of his trip.

19:37

So now he could go back to

19:39

putting $20 in

19:41

the tank, kind of like I would

19:43

do when I'm leave to go somewhere.

19:45

If I'm going to be driving for a while, I'll

19:48

fill up. But if I'm going on

19:50

vacation or something, for example, when I

19:52

get to where I'm going, I'm not

19:54

going to fuel up like that again

19:56

until I'm ready to go back for the long

20:00

also too, we don't know how

20:02

much gas was in the truck when

20:04

he was buying these $20 increments because

20:08

you know maybe he had half a tank already and

20:10

he was putting $20 in it as he went

20:13

to keep it full. So the

20:16

amount that he spent in gas, it could

20:18

be a lot of different things just like

20:20

everything else it seems like. You

20:22

might think I might not see one for

20:24

quite a few miles, maybe I better stop at

20:26

this one. One central

20:28

point of interest when it comes to searching is

20:31

the area surrounding where the truck was

20:33

found but Tammy explained that there's some

20:35

confusion regarding exactly where that spot was.

20:39

We've had several different locations and when I went,

20:41

I went where there was yellow ribbon at and

20:43

that's where I was sitting to see where the

20:45

truck was found but talking to the detective a

20:47

little bit more he kind of explained to me

20:49

that that's where they put their submarine sonar thing

20:51

in the water and that's why it was marked

20:53

and his truck was actually just a little bit

20:55

south of that mark so but I can't

20:57

tell you where that area was that

20:59

I looked where they put the sonar in. There's

21:01

like a berm you know a drop off but

21:04

I mean it's I mean you could see the

21:06

river from where the truck is if you look to the leaves and

21:08

the trees. Jack and

21:10

Alicia have been frustrated by this too. They've

21:12

heard different locations from various people and

21:15

they aren't sure which one is accurate.

21:18

The first issue with that was

21:20

we have been given three or

21:22

four different locations of where his

21:24

truck was found Knox County

21:26

police are saying it was found here.

21:29

St. Francisville police are saying it

21:31

was found in another spot. The

21:33

tow truck driver is saying it

21:35

was found in a third spot

21:38

and I mean we've searched all those. The

21:41

detective saying that it was

21:43

five to six miles south

21:45

of Cannonball Bridge. Wabash

21:47

River is what close

21:49

to 20 miles away Wabash River Road.

21:51

So there's a big discrepancy there

21:54

you know five to six miles

21:56

away from Cannonball Bridge to that.

21:58

So we have searched all of them. The

22:00

one thing that is saying somewhat

22:02

consistent is the tow truck driver

22:04

says it was on Wabash River

22:07

Road, but he's saying it was about two

22:09

miles down from where the cops are saying.

22:11

So those two are pretty close together, but

22:13

the third one, when the detectives said, well,

22:16

it was only five to six miles

22:18

south of Cannonball Bridge, that's a pretty

22:21

good distance away from the first two

22:23

spots. So there's some discrepancies

22:25

there. There's including new

22:27

discrepancies of Jared's take. It

22:29

would be great to have pictures of the

22:31

truck because there's inconsistencies there. The

22:34

detectives say in the driver side doors, the

22:36

tow truck driver said passenger side doors. So

22:38

we don't even know what doors were open. I

22:41

will tell you where the sheriff's

22:43

department said his truck was found,

22:46

there is no way on God's green

22:48

earth that a man from

22:50

Louisiana would find that on his

22:52

own because it was a

22:55

lot of twists, a lot of turns. There's

22:57

just no way that, I mean,

22:59

I don't even know how a GPS would lead

23:01

you out to that spot. A lot

23:03

of locals are stating that they don't even

23:05

know how you would have found it. And not a lot

23:08

of locals don't even know about that road unless they frequent

23:10

it because of their fields or oil

23:12

wells, just not a road that would

23:14

have easily been found. They say

23:16

that they had dogs out there

23:18

right after it happened. And

23:20

they said the dogs were

23:23

on the bank of the river is where

23:25

they stopped, obviously. So the

23:28

detective seems to think that maybe he's

23:30

in the water somewhere. And

23:33

I don't know how cool this is, but I was

23:35

told that those weren't really like

23:37

search and rescue dogs. They're regular

23:39

police canines. So they'd be more

23:41

like the drug dogs, I guess

23:43

you could say. And then

23:45

I was also told that they were only puppies.

23:48

I don't know how sure that is. his

24:00

shoes and where they found his shoes, you

24:02

know, they were 10 feet apart

24:04

from one another. I don't

24:06

think he lost his shoes. I think they were thrown out.

24:09

Yeah. If he would have took a walk,

24:11

what would have been probably like, I'd walk two

24:13

blocks down. There is some steeper

24:15

areas, but where the truck was, either place

24:18

that the truck was, the woods are thick.

24:20

It's thick with ryars. It wouldn't have been

24:22

an easy truck. And even the detective said

24:24

that it would not have been an easy

24:26

truck just to go into the bathroom or to go see

24:28

the river. On top

24:30

of the confusion surrounding where the truck was

24:32

found, it remains unclear exactly who found it

24:35

out there. He claims

24:37

that the mayor, well old mayor now, St. Francisville

24:39

is the one who found the truck. There's

24:42

a little bit of inconsistencies there too because

24:44

he would keep saying, oh, well, I mean

24:46

this, or, you know, you would kind of

24:48

change his wording. Or he'd say, let me

24:50

take that back. They keep going

24:52

back to an oil well worker. We

24:54

just don't know who because there's been a

24:56

few people now that's popped up and said,

24:59

my son found it or this person found

25:01

it or police chief said his mayor found

25:03

it. So when we went out the first

25:05

time, there was people repairing an oil rig.

25:08

So I'm going to say it wasn't an oil

25:10

rig worker. It's just finding that actual worker. When

25:13

we talked to the ones there, they said that

25:15

we were a couple of miles off. Yeah. Because

25:18

they said they did remember the truck being

25:20

out there and they said where we were looking

25:22

at, which was where the flag was, they're like,

25:24

you're a couple of miles off. You need to go a couple

25:26

of miles more up, which matched more the

25:29

tow truck than the detective.

25:32

For Tammy, it's not that she wishes to

25:34

accuse the person who found the trick of

25:37

any wrongdoing, but it may be helpful

25:39

to her to be able to nail down who

25:41

it was and maybe speak with them about their

25:43

recollections of that day. If this

25:45

is just a missing person's case with no

25:47

foul play suspected, it doesn't seem like there

25:49

needs to be all of these secrets. When

25:52

I asked the detective, he said an oil

25:54

worker, but then somebody else that said the

25:58

mayor of St. Francisville, who's now designed,

26:01

was the one who found it. And then when I

26:03

asked the detective again just to clarify, he said

26:05

it wasn't that mayor, but it was, he just

26:07

said a local citizen. Of course, I don't think, if

26:10

he knows the name, he's probably not going to tell

26:12

me. In part one,

26:14

we discussed the unconfirmed sighting of Jared at

26:16

a restaurant not far from where his truck

26:18

was later recovered. When you hear

26:21

the story of Jared's disappearance, it sounds strange.

26:23

How did he end up so far off

26:25

course from his original destination, visiting

26:27

his son? That alleged

26:29

sighting sounds odd at first, but then to

26:31

learn that the restaurant was along the route

26:33

that his phone pings followed, and

26:35

on the way to where his truck was abandoned,

26:38

it kind of adds up. Jack and

26:40

Alicia were hopeful that the owner or

26:42

employees would offer some information that could

26:44

aid in their search efforts, but they

26:46

were surprised by the pushback that they got. One

26:49

thing that, and it's just a thought,

26:51

I'm not blaming no one, I'm not going

26:54

there at all, but the bar owners

26:56

are not working with Tammy or anyone. They

26:58

block people for asking about if Jared has

27:00

been seen on Facebook. If you try to

27:03

put a flyer on their Facebook, they block

27:05

you. They haven't allowed flyers

27:07

at their bar either. So we

27:09

have spoke to people that

27:12

swear that they've seen Jared there the last

27:14

day. So that is actually

27:16

possibly the last spot that Jared

27:18

was seen. So, you know,

27:20

why aren't they working with Tammy? Why aren't,

27:23

why are they not even wanting him mentioned?

27:26

That's a big thing in my head too. But

27:28

now the bar owner's denying he was

27:30

even there. Yeah, and the one

27:32

person that was explaining his dogs and

27:34

everything was even able to say what was in

27:37

the back of the bag. That grabbed me and

27:39

Tammy because we have not released that information and

27:41

we're not, but how would he know what was

27:43

in the back of the bag? He knew what

27:45

Jared had with him. That tells us that he

27:47

did see at least the truck there. They

27:50

have cameras there, but they won't release any camera

27:52

footage. They will not help in that aspect. If

27:55

that was Jared at the restaurant, in order to

27:57

get to where his truck was found, the truck

27:59

would have had a lot of money. had to

28:01

have been driven across the river. There are many

28:03

bridges along the river, but it appears that the

28:05

truck most likely crossed at the Cannonball Bridge,

28:07

because that aligns with the phone pings

28:09

leading up to that time. While speaking

28:11

to Tammy, we asked if it was

28:13

possible that Jared could have driven further

28:15

north or south to cross elsewhere, and

28:17

she explained this aspect of the case

28:20

further. I thought,

28:22

we're judging by what the locals kind

28:24

of explained to me in the timeframe

28:26

and everything. The only way he could have

28:28

got from A to B without

28:30

anything, because I don't believe his phone ever pinged in

28:33

Indiana at all, and the only way for

28:35

that to happen would be is if he crossed that

28:37

Cannonball Bridge there and went from there,

28:40

and then that's where the truck ended up in

28:42

the location. The way the phone pings ring, phones

28:44

traveling straight up that one, you wouldn't have time

28:46

to go back down to Mount Carmel, because Mount

28:48

Carmel's the only other place you can cross the

28:50

bridge. Or if he went up,

28:53

people would have contemplated on him going up to

28:55

Vincennes and then coming back down. But

28:57

his phone would have pinged off an

28:59

Indiana tower, because Vincennes is a big

29:01

town. He would have hit off an Indiana

29:03

tower somewhere and he didn't. So

29:05

Tammy and the others believe that the truck

29:08

most likely crossed the Cannonball Bridge and not

29:10

any of the other bridges, because there's no

29:12

evidence suggesting that he had traveled to those

29:14

locations later on. But here's the thing,

29:16

there's a toll booth with a camera on the

29:19

Illinois side of the bridge, and Jared's

29:21

truck was not captured on video there.

29:23

However, there was a way that you could

29:26

bypass the camera, though that's not something that

29:28

someone like Jared from outside of the area

29:30

would have known about. So

29:32

they talked to the chief in St. Princeville and he

29:34

even helped us do one of the searches. Now

29:37

he did mention the fact that they looked at the

29:39

toll cameras, because there's a toll booth on

29:42

the Illinois side of the

29:44

Cannonball Bridge. And they said that

29:46

they did not see the truck come through that

29:48

toll booth. But they were also

29:50

working on the bridge and stuff like that,

29:52

and all the locals know about the dirt

29:54

road bypass to bypass the toll booth. But

29:57

you'd have to be pretty much a local

29:59

or... have worked in the area or something like that

30:01

to know that road. Again,

30:04

I don't know how it's gotten up there. Even

30:06

if a local or somebody, or

30:08

an accident happened and somebody found the truck

30:10

and just jumped it across on the other

30:12

side of the river. That bypass dirt road

30:14

is right there. If you're facing the river,

30:16

you can see on Google Earth that dirt

30:18

road. If you follow it on the

30:20

map, you can see where it goes out on

30:23

Cannonball Lane, but it's in front of the toll

30:25

boost. So Chief of Police did say those gates

30:27

were opened during that time. This

30:30

can be confusing to imagine, but

30:32

Jared's cousin Samantha described it for us

30:34

in great detail. There's

30:36

supposed to be cameras at the toll boost

30:38

on that bridge, but they

30:41

said that his truck wasn't on

30:43

camera. But the toll boost is

30:45

probably at least

30:47

a quarter mile away

30:49

from the first bridge because there's actually

30:51

two bridges there at Cannonball Bridge. There's

30:54

the big Cannonball Bridge with the

30:56

trusses over the top, and it

30:58

goes across the river. But

31:01

when you're coming from the Illinois side, there

31:03

is a smaller wooden bridge that doesn't

31:06

have all the big trusses on top,

31:08

and it goes over like a swamp

31:10

area. It's kind of swampy and nasty

31:13

down there from where the river overflows.

31:15

There is a gravel road. You

31:18

can go around the

31:20

toll boost and come out after

31:23

the second bridge. It

31:25

would also bypass the toll boost as

31:27

well. You would absolutely

31:29

have to have local knowledge because

31:31

when I went down there the first

31:33

time, I went down to that gravel

31:35

road. And when you're coming from

31:38

the Illinois side to get

31:40

to that gravel road that you would

31:42

have to take to avoid the toll

31:44

boost, it's down a steep hill. You

31:46

can't just see it from the street

31:49

that you're on. It looks like

31:51

a gravel road that goes down into nowhere.

31:54

And you turn down it and you go down

31:56

this great big steep hill and over a

31:58

creek, and then it wraps all over. the

32:00

way around the plant field for

32:02

farmers, and then it

32:05

comes out after the first

32:07

bridge. And when I was

32:09

there in January

32:12

for a search, the chief

32:14

of police for St. Francisville, I

32:17

asked him, because there's a gate there, after

32:19

you come down the hill, and there's

32:22

a little creek that runs through there, there's a metal gate

32:24

there. And when I came the first

32:26

time, it was locked. So

32:28

when I seen him in person on

32:31

the second search, I asked him,

32:33

I said, is that gate normally

32:35

locked? And he said, no, it's

32:37

normally unlocked. He wouldn't have known that was

32:39

there, and he wouldn't have been able to find

32:41

it unless he was looking for it. It's

32:43

a service road is what it is, an

32:46

access road for the farmers. I

32:48

mean, yeah, Jared liked to check

32:50

out natural things like that, and

32:52

old stuff and stuff like that.

32:54

But I don't know how you

32:56

would even hear about that. Who would even tell

32:59

you about that? Jack

33:01

and Alicia found the whole access road toll

33:03

booth thing to be odd too. Something

33:05

about it didn't sit well with them. When

33:09

St. Francisville police chief says, I

33:12

went over to footage and his truck

33:14

was never seen going over the Cannonball

33:16

Bridge, he has not shared that video

33:19

footage with anybody. He's just

33:21

saying, I went over the footage, and

33:23

that was the end of it. No, I grew up down

33:25

here, and I wouldn't have been able to tell you where

33:27

that was. Well, a lot of locals don't

33:30

know about it. And there's people

33:32

that lived in Lawrenceville, St. Francisville, you

33:34

know, that area, and you

33:36

probably get 50% that says, well, no, you got to

33:38

go over the toll road. They wouldn't know how to

33:40

bypass it. Another thing that we

33:43

found strange about that road is not

33:46

this last search we did, but the search

33:48

before that police chief was out

33:50

with us. And we probably had 10 or 12

33:53

people out there. And the police chief was like,

33:55

all right, guys, you know, we're going to go

33:58

this way and we're going to split up. and

34:00

this is what we're going to do. But

34:02

I don't want nobody going down this road,

34:04

which was that access road, because I've already

34:06

searched that and there's nothing down there. Ronnie

34:09

has been out to the area and seen it with his

34:11

own eyes. He doesn't believe that Jared drove

34:13

his truck down that access road to get

34:16

across the bridge undetected. You

34:18

would have to know that area at the Mo to

34:21

be able to go that way. And he did, to

34:23

me in my opinion, he did not drive

34:25

his truck over there. You would

34:27

have to know that area at the Mo that

34:30

road led back to the Cannonball

36:57

Tammy and Samantha have worked to spread the

36:59

word about Jared's disappearance across social media.

37:01

They started a group called Finding Jared

37:04

McCullough. That was when Tammy

37:06

began hearing about a place nicknamed Devil's

37:08

Playground in Centralia, Illinois, which

37:10

isn't far from the Salem area where Jared was

37:12

headed on the day he disappeared. There

37:15

have been several unexplained disappearances, unsolved

37:17

murders and rumors of devil worship in the

37:19

area. People have tried to

37:21

tie Jared's disappearance to this. While

37:24

it's true that Jared was nearby that day,

37:26

Tammy doesn't believe that this is anything more

37:28

than local lore and a distraction when

37:30

it comes to Finding Jared. I

37:33

guess that part of Illinois where he was originally supposed

37:35

to be has got a lot of big

37:37

controversy because of the whole devil's playground

37:40

thing and there's a lot of people

37:42

who went missing in that area. I

37:44

just don't think that that's related to Jared at

37:46

all. A lot of people want to bring it

37:48

back that way but he's way further east than

37:50

that. He

37:53

left Centralia, Salem area and

37:55

was seen further east. The

37:58

more it's advertised, the more people are going to feed in. I

38:00

mean, there has been, from what I understand, a

38:02

lot of people going missing in that area, but

38:05

I think it's a local lure. No

38:07

one that we spoke to believes that Jared's

38:10

disappearance is tied to these other cases, and

38:12

the devil worship stuff just sounds a bit

38:14

silly. But there are theories about

38:16

what happened to Jared. Ronnie told us his

38:18

thoughts. If you

38:20

think about the whole situation and

38:22

think of, I guess, a criminal

38:25

mind, someone could have

38:27

parked that truck, did what they did with the

38:29

shoes, thrown them out, made it look like he

38:32

went in the river. Somebody

38:34

could have walked in the river, walked straight across,

38:36

because it was only about a foot, two

38:38

foot deep, walked straight across the

38:40

river. There's a little

38:42

landing over there with little

38:45

cabins, and they could have met

38:47

on the other side of that river and picked

38:49

whoever it was that parked that truck there, picked

38:51

them up on the other side of the river. He

38:53

did have an anonymous

38:55

tip that told us that

38:57

he was at the barn

39:00

grill there in St. Francisville,

39:02

and he was seen there,

39:05

and his truck was seen there, and his

39:07

dogs were seen in the truck in the

39:09

parking lot. If somebody in that area had

39:11

something to do with it, it's

39:13

a pretty tight community, tight-knit,

39:15

whatever you want to call it, a

39:17

lot of wear and aspect to this case.

39:20

I think if we're going to find him over

39:22

on the Illinois side somewhere. Jack

39:25

and Alicia have made many trips out to the area

39:27

where Jared's truck had been found, trying

39:29

to make sense of it all and find some trace

39:31

of Jared. But they too are mystified

39:34

and wonder if the truck was placed out there

39:36

as a red herring. Everyone has

39:38

been searching that area for Jared, but what if

39:40

he was never even there? I

39:43

am strongly suspecting foul play.

39:46

We have some information that hasn't been released.

39:48

So going off that information and what has

39:50

been released, we definitely think foul play. We

39:52

definitely think the truck was planted. We think

39:55

the shoes were thrown to just throw someone

39:57

off. The Wabash River is

39:59

right there. And if I, if I

40:01

was a betting man, I would have to say,

40:03

that's probably where his phone is. When

40:05

you go over the bridge, it's nothing

40:07

to throw a phone off of a

40:10

bridge into the water and it'll never

40:12

be found. But then on the other

40:14

hand, Tammy has said that she

40:16

got a notification that somebody

40:19

had the phone and they tried to switch out the

40:21

SIM card. Yeah. So if that's the case, who

40:23

has his phone? And they have said

40:26

there's been a lot of people, you know, that's

40:28

committed suicide there. It's known

40:30

if you talk to anyone, any of the locals,

40:32

Wabash is known to take people. It's known

40:35

that if you go into the Wabash, your

40:37

chances of coming out are slim. Some people

40:39

have, but more so that

40:41

has not, especially right there at Cannonball

40:43

Bridge. Cannonball Bridge does have a

40:46

history. If you look it up, you'll see that

40:48

there's been numerous deaths or findings there. His

40:51

ex is saying, Hey, Jared, where are

40:53

you at? And then another message, there

40:55

was numerous texts. And then all of a

40:58

sudden the texting call stopped at

41:00

a specific time. And then he turns

41:02

up missing. No texts or phone calls

41:04

have been sent since that one last

41:06

text. And that was around the time that the

41:08

truck would have been dying. And

41:11

she was just arrested recently. I

41:13

don't even think the police are even

41:15

looking in that direction. You know, detectives

41:17

like I got friends over there that

41:19

have talked to her. We really can't

41:21

do nothing unless there's suspicion. And

41:24

I understand that part, but to

41:26

me, it's just, I

41:28

would think they would, they could at least talk

41:30

to her and say, Hey, do you

41:33

know anything that could have possibly happened to

41:35

Jared? If he was on the run, don't

41:38

you think he would at least go

41:40

to a local Walmart or something? You can get

41:42

one of those burner phones. He would at least

41:44

call Tammy and say, Hey, this is where I'm

41:47

at. And then Tammy could talk

41:49

him into turning himself in. But

41:51

there's been none of that. Well, if he was on

41:53

the run, there was still cash granted. It wasn't much, but

41:55

if you're on the run, you're going to take every penny.

41:57

He had change in there. He had dollar bills in there.

42:00

he took all that? He didn't take a

42:02

change of clothes. He didn't even take shoes. He's shoeless. All

42:04

his shoes are accounted for. So he's barefoot. So

42:06

if you're going on the run, you know, he had

42:08

food in the truck. He had his laundry in the truck.

42:11

All the essentials in the truck, but he didn't take a

42:13

single thing, not even his shoes. That's a little

42:15

odd. Like I told you earlier, you

42:17

know, he loved his dogs like his

42:19

kids. And you can tell in the

42:21

pictures with him and his dogs and

42:24

from talking to his mom, she said

42:26

the same thing. He's not just going

42:28

to up and leave his

42:30

dogs and say, you know what? I'm

42:32

never going to see you again. It doesn't

42:34

go down like that. There

42:36

are so many questions about what happened on

42:38

the day that Jared disappeared. Why did he

42:40

make that trip so abruptly? How did he

42:43

get so far off course? When we

42:45

think about Jared being out at his truck

42:47

next to the river and consider scenarios to

42:49

explain why he was there, we

42:51

can think of some. Maybe he was exploring

42:53

and stopped to let his dogs run around

42:55

for a bit. Could Jared have had trouble

42:57

with his vehicle? That doesn't really explain how

42:59

he got to that area, especially considering that

43:01

it was difficult to find if you aren't

43:04

a local. What Tammy can't understand

43:06

is if Jared did run into some kind

43:08

of problem, why didn't he use his phone

43:10

to contact anyone for help? He

43:13

still had his cell phone because the

43:15

last phone call was coming in and

43:17

there's no, there's incoming text messages, but

43:19

nothing outgoing. The last outgoing was whenever

43:21

he sent me that text, as

43:24

far as text messages, and the last phone call was

43:26

at 1108 AM that

43:28

morning. So the phone and the truck were

43:30

still evidently at least, the battery was still

43:32

didn't die until 6 30

43:34

pm and then the phone didn't die until

43:37

around 6 30. So the thing is 6

43:39

30. So you'd think he'd even call somebody. Tammy

43:42

doesn't know what to think when it comes to what the

43:44

outcome may be. She doesn't want to

43:46

accuse anyone of foul play, but she does

43:48

have a lot of questions and

43:51

she feels that there should be some answers out

43:53

there for some of these lingering questions. He

43:56

would never leave and not contact me, especially after losing

43:58

often, you know, he knows. How hard

44:00

it was only he did. He would

44:02

have contact me somehow Some way. I mean he.

44:05

Has been of vague activity, is

44:07

hung up and on an active.

44:09

He would try to reach have tried to contact

44:11

the there's no way these not all the problems.

44:14

I know that for fact he wouldn't be that

44:16

44:18

44:20

44:22

44:27

46:09

about what happened after Jared arrived in

Jared and his ex had a disagreement

48:10

But. That still doesn't. Give. Me

48:12

An answer to why he was

48:14

coming from Indiana. Was he thinking

48:16

of coming this way to see

48:19

the few family members that he

48:21

has? You're in Indiana. Was he

48:23

just mad and trying to cool

48:25

off? I'm just driving. I have

48:27

no idea. but I feel like

48:29

he did get somewhere and see

48:31

somebody in that area and that's.

48:33

What Him? His. Direction

48:35

that he was selling. It felt

48:38

kind of spur of the moment. I

48:40

think there's more information. To. Be

48:42

known and I think that.

48:45

His. Ex that he was supposed to be

48:47

meeting. In Illinois I think she has. A

48:50

big chunk of that information. I

48:52

don't think she has every answer that were looking

48:54

for, but I think she has. Plenty. Of

48:56

information that could be helpful. And

48:59

insightful to. See.

49:01

Habits and know. Where

49:03

he was headed, or why

49:05

even. Leave. A nice area.

49:08

That's. Why I feel like I

49:10

don't know, but I feel like.

49:12

They. Did see each other, And. Get

49:15

in the some types of argument or something. And

49:17

I think she feels guilty because.

49:20

Maybe. They got into an argument of he

49:22

took off. And him taken off into

49:24

that. we. Knew. Him in to whatever

49:26

happened to him. So. She doesn't wanna

49:28

say that they kind of had a rocky.

49:30

Relationship. They. Met when I was

49:33

so young. So they with kids together you

49:35

know? so they. Were. Friends than

49:37

they would get along, but. They.

49:39

Also, I launched as really really didn't

49:41

get along. And. See was the

49:44

only person that he was talking

49:46

to you on the phone that

49:48

morning, nobody else. So that's why

49:50

I feel. And. I've always said

49:53

that. She. Knows more

49:55

information. Than she's willing to

49:57

give. I won't say that she

49:59

did anything. to Jared or

50:02

anything of that nature, but she

50:04

at the very least knows

50:06

why he was going where he was going.

50:09

And there's nothing anyone can say to convince

50:11

me any different. I feel she at least

50:13

knows where he was going

50:16

or why he didn't come to

50:18

her house. There's something that

50:20

she's not telling us. I've only

50:22

heard rumor, people just

50:24

from the area that'll send

50:27

a message or something. I've heard

50:30

rumor that she's been questioned before

50:32

about this, but that's it. I don't

50:34

know if they've pulled her phone records.

50:37

I don't know from like a factual

50:39

source that they've questioned her. Like I

50:41

haven't heard it from her or from

50:43

a police department or a detective

50:46

or anything like that. So I've only

50:48

heard hearsay, but she's the last

50:50

and only person that spoke to him and he's

50:52

a missing person. I'm hoping that maybe

50:54

that's something that they've done that they just haven't

50:57

told us about because I know that there

50:59

are some things that have to be kept private

51:02

in an investigation, but if

51:04

it hasn't been done, it definitely needs to be. Today,

51:07

Tammy's main focus is finding Jared. She's

51:10

desperate to find any new lead or

51:12

clue that will point them in the

51:14

right direction to continue searching. There

51:17

must be a piece of the puzzle out

51:19

there somewhere and she's determined to leave no

51:21

stone unturned. The biggest thing

51:23

is I just, you know, it's really just finding him.

51:25

If he's in the river, we need more boats. We

51:27

need more sunnage, but now that river's flooded so much,

51:29

it's all the way up to the levees and it's

51:32

running so fast, I can't even get them. It was

51:34

so low at the time that he went missing out

51:36

so high and running fast that it just worries me

51:38

that much more on whether we'll be able to find

51:40

him and in time to notice because

51:42

from what I've been told, if it goes too

51:44

long, you'll never be able to know whether there's

51:47

any foul play or not. It could have been

51:49

an accident, but even if it was an

51:51

accident, I mean something led in there, something

51:53

got him there and I told him, I

51:55

talked to him a check-in again today, and

51:57

I told him, I was like, you know, I have faith in him. I'm going

52:00

to find him and I want to find him. And

52:02

I'm not going to give up until we do. You

52:04

can see us in the river and we say he may

52:06

not ever be found. I'm going to find him. But

52:09

after I get that handled, I mean, I

52:11

need to know what got him

52:13

there. Something got him there. I mean,

52:15

and I'm not talking the Salem area. From

52:17

the point that he got to the Salem area and the

52:19

five hour gaps and then got him way over out east,

52:22

how did he end up over there? Whenever

52:24

he doesn't know that area, he would be lost

52:27

out there. It has to be somebody

52:29

who knows the area or worked in the area because they

52:31

did have contractors. There are oil workers out there. I'm not,

52:34

again, placing blame on anybody out there. I'm still trying

52:36

to make connections because I don't want to outright accuse

52:38

anybody or anything. But I'm trying to find a link

52:40

there. The search efforts

52:43

for Jared have focused on the area around where

52:45

his truck was found because that's what

52:47

makes the most sense. But what if

52:49

Jared was never there? What if the

52:51

truck was ditched there by someone else and

52:53

something happened to Jared before the truck crossed

52:55

into Indiana? Did Jared ever

52:57

make it across the river? Samantha

52:59

said that at this point, it's difficult to know

53:01

where else to look. The

53:04

truck being in Indiana is the only thing

53:06

we have that indicates he could have been

53:08

in Indiana. He was never seen,

53:10

for sure, in Indiana. They've

53:13

been focusing on that area for

53:15

now, but we haven't really

53:17

had any other tips or leads to

53:19

show him anywhere else. I

53:21

think if we can organize

53:24

it, and it's hard because there's

53:26

so much distance that he traveled

53:28

that morning. But I think a

53:31

good place to start would maybe

53:33

be to go back to Carmine, where

53:35

he was last foreshore seeing on video

53:37

so we know that it was for

53:40

sure him. He was alive

53:42

and well. He was okay. And start

53:44

there and start talking to

53:46

people and working our way up

53:48

to the other towns that

53:50

were on his trip. I mean,

53:53

that's the only thing left that I

53:55

can think of because we have done so

53:57

much where the truck was found. Something

54:00

that has stood out in Jared's case has

54:03

been the people who live locally who have reached out

54:05

to help. You have Alicia

54:07

and Jack from band together, Ronnie from

54:09

Brothers Underwater Recovery, and Samantha also mentioned

54:11

some folks from a local animal shelter

54:14

who stepped up to care for Jared's pups until Tammy

54:16

could get out there to pick them up. The

54:19

Vinson's Animal Shelter, they kept the

54:22

dogs until she was able to

54:24

get down there and get

54:27

them and get Jared's truck because

54:29

that posed an issue too. You know, she was supposed to

54:31

bring the truck back with her. So you

54:33

had to have two people to go because someone had

54:36

to drive that truck and someone then would have to

54:38

drive the truck they drove, but they did

54:40

Vinson's Animal Shelter. They took great care of them. They

54:42

gave them updated shots

54:44

and everything and cleaned them

54:46

up and then they decided

54:49

to waive all of the fees for anything.

54:53

They didn't expect Tammy to have to pay for

54:55

any of that. They were so

54:57

wonderful. While speaking with

55:00

Jack and Alicia, they told us a heartwarming

55:02

story about how they found a puppy close

55:04

to death on one of their searches for

55:06

Jared. It was weird how it happened, but

55:08

it felt like fate to them. Out

55:11

searching for Jared, we found

55:13

the Golden Lab that was left out in the

55:15

middle of the gravel road somewhere. Alicia's

55:18

got it all over our page. So we

55:20

named him Tucker. Well, and

55:22

this whole thing with Tucker, we

55:24

had actually found a spot

55:27

that we thought was odd. Like it just

55:29

stood out. There was grass everywhere,

55:31

but this rectangles. So

55:33

we thought that was super odd. We didn't have a shovel

55:35

with us at the time. So we're like, well, you know,

55:38

we've been out here all morning, early afternoon. Let's go get

55:40

some food. Let's go get a shovel and come back. So

55:43

we actually went into Vincennes, got

55:45

some food, got the shovel. It

55:47

was cold out. We actually considered going

55:49

home and then coming back the next day

55:51

because we pinned that area to Dick. We

55:54

said, okay, well, we'll just go ahead and

55:56

head home. Well, we started out of Vincennes

55:59

and changed his mind. Jack's like,

56:01

no we need to go out there. Let's go

56:03

dig it. So we went, we went that way

56:05

to go dig it and we weren't

56:07

even what a quarter mile away from

56:09

where we wanted to dig and there's Tucker in

56:11

the middle of the road. Yeah because I wanted

56:14

to go back along that ditch line. I just

56:16

didn't feel like we did

56:18

good enough job searching. So I'm

56:20

like let's turn around and go back

56:22

past this ditch line and there's

56:24

Tucker out in the middle of the road. He barely

56:27

walk. You could see the poor little thing sway and

56:29

you could see birds up in the sky. My

56:32

wife didn't even let me get a make a complete

56:34

stop before she was jumping out of the car to

56:36

get him. Yeah I mean he was so

56:38

little and like when you saw him trying to walk,

56:40

you could tell that he was young because it was

56:42

it was a sway walk like he was very unsteady

56:44

on his feet. You could see the prey

56:47

birds up above. We searched the area and he was

56:49

the only one that we found. So we don't know

56:51

where mom is. We don't know if there's any other

56:53

pup but it was just it was odd because we

56:56

were going to go ahead and call it a day

56:58

and come back in the morning but if we would

57:00

have done that, Tucker would have died. It took forever

57:02

to get him warmed up because his body temperature was

57:04

so low. So I mean he was in really bad

57:07

shape. He went and lasted more than a couple more

57:09

hours. The funny thing with that is Jared

57:11

loved dogs. Being on someone's search

57:13

that loved dogs to Tammy and to a

57:15

lot of us it was just a sign Jared's with

57:17

us. You know and we will find him. It's

57:20

just a matter of when and where. And we've

57:22

had offers you know we'd love to take

57:24

Tucker in but we decided with the way

57:26

he was found. We feel that

57:29

somebody threw him out. He was only about three

57:32

weeks old when we found him. He had just

57:34

opened his eyes you could tell. When somebody threw

57:36

him out like a piece of garbage we're just

57:38

gonna prove that he can be something and we're

57:40

also gonna turn him into a Sarge dog. So

57:43

yeah we're gonna make something out of him. Jack

57:46

and Alicia are planning more upcoming searches of

57:48

the area where Jared's truck was found. If

57:51

you're interested in joining them you can find

57:53

more information about their upcoming searches on

57:55

58:03

That. Hey this is the day that

58:05

we're gonna do the Serbs. This is

58:08

the time we're about some people. Last

58:10

time. So. If we have a bigger

58:12

party, we could do better. Grid search. Will. Actually

58:14

doing another start sharing a couple weeks. And

58:17

we're hoping by then. That. The water

58:19

will go down so that we can search

58:21

the area that we were hoping to search.

58:23

we saw. unless there's we saw few areas.

58:25

Yeah. With the not yours and zooming in on

58:28

cameras that we really want to check out.

58:30

That. I would say if you are going out there and

58:32

if you are wanting to have surged. Do Not

58:34

go Alone. Especially right now and

58:36

flip season isn't even here yet and rivers

58:39

already up. We. Do have you know

58:41

a lotta rain that come through the season. And

58:43

every year the Wabash go that all the

58:45

locals know that you know Flooding around here

58:47

is normal. Do. Not go alone because

58:50

as that ground as and be soft it's

58:52

can be muddy the river and up the

58:54

river is moving very very that. So.

58:56

What's Happened Or Mccullough on Nov says.

58:59

Twenty Twenty Three. We. Know that

59:01

Jared had left his home in Marion,

59:03

Louisiana on the evening of the fourth

59:05

and proceeded to drive through the night

59:07

Illinois. Serious. Family didn't know about

59:09

this trip, but they've been. Told that the

59:11

plan was to meet up with the son's mother

59:13

and the to We're going to visit him in

59:16

the juvenile facility the he was out in Benton,

59:18

Illinois. For. Jersey Only It sounds like

59:20

this was a spur of the moment trip. In

59:22

there must have been some set of emergency. that

59:24

such as trip into motion. Soldiers.

59:27

X has never fully explain this to

59:29

his family came He believes that series.

59:31

Had heard that his was hurt in any. Way that

59:33

he would have jumped into action to do what he

59:35

could to save him. To Israel has

59:37

been mapped out by his trail. A

59:40

financial transactions he purchased, sued troops and

59:42

laugh along the way. They. Know

59:44

that Jared did make it to the same

59:46

area because he was seen on a camera

59:49

at a gas station there. When he purchased

59:51

gas and an energy drink, he was later

59:53

seen as another gas station nearby filling up

59:56

again. There was an unexplained stretch of time.

59:58

Between those two sidings. Winners were

1:00:00

Jared was or what he was doing. In

1:00:02

that time. Then. Jared appears to

1:00:04

have veered off course. He. Left the

1:00:06

area near his exes home and began

1:00:08

heading east. To. Had stopped at a

1:00:11

1:00:21

1:00:25

The following day, Jared struck the sound on

1:00:28

1:00:49

Winter. It's trip has found. It looked

1:00:51

strange. Some of the doors were open,

1:00:53

his dogs were sitting inside and his

1:00:55

shoes were outside. There was no reason

1:00:57

for Jared to be in that location.

1:00:59

He wasn't. Familiar with it and it's

1:01:01

not a place as even easy to find

1:01:03

the whole thing is puzzling. Some

1:01:06

have suggested that Jared took off to run

1:01:08

from his legal troubles, though his family dispute

1:01:10

sad idea. They. Don't believe that Jared

1:01:12

needed to run! He was taken care of

1:01:14

everything and was looking forward to moving on

1:01:16

with his life and hopefully gaining custody of

1:01:19

his son. He also had a new

1:01:21

baby back home in Louisiana. Sure, It

1:01:23

in the baby's mother were close. And co parents

1:01:25

had the baby while remaining France. They.

1:01:27

Also, don't believe that Jarrod would intentionally

1:01:29

put his family through something like this.

1:01:31

Jarrett. Had tragically lost his little brother

1:01:33

a couple of years prior and he

1:02:14

Deputies. Were able to make contact

1:02:16

1:02:18

that Jarod Mix Hello was in possession

1:02:20

could have happened, but it doesn't explain why

1:04:12

what you want. Don't let

1:04:19

all the power. If

1:04:21

someone picked him up, sorry buddy, I can

1:04:23

give you a ride to town, but the

1:04:25

1:04:28

the truck, cracked the windows. You

1:04:30

wouldn't have left them to where they could

just run off. They were like his little

1:04:34

babies. And Roxy,

1:04:36

his German shepherd, she

1:04:38

was very dependent upon

1:04:41

Jared. He couldn't have just walked

1:04:43

off and then have stayed in

1:04:45

the truck. The whole

1:04:48

thing with Jared is, I

1:04:50

don't even know what to say about it. Jared

1:04:52

was very close to his dogs. His

1:04:54

dogs were like his kids, you know? We

1:04:57

1:05:01

1:05:03

doing much on her. Jared has a pass, Knox

1:05:06

1:05:08

pass, Crawford County didn't do much. Kinda

1:05:10

showing a pattern there that if you

1:05:13

have a pass, they don't matter that

1:05:15

you're a good person now. They don't

1:05:17

care, it's kinda like good riddance. They just don't seem

1:05:19

to put people on it. They don't

1:05:21

seem to put it out like they

1:05:24

do so. People on it,

1:05:26

they don't seem to put it out

1:05:28

like they do someone say that has

1:05:30

no pass. That's something we definitely have
