Hey,

0:00

everyone. Before we get into the season two

0:02

recap of tower four, we just wanted to tell you

0:04

about a new thriller scripted fiction

0:06

series called the Hitler file.

0:08

It starts two of the best character actors

0:11

on planet Earth, Peter Stormier and

0:13

Dennis O'Hare. You may know Peter

0:15

as the guy who put Steve O'Shimi in a wood

0:17

chipper in Fargo, or the coolest

0:19

depiction of Lucifer ever in Constantine.

0:22

He also has a small part in minority report.

0:25

Dennis O'Hare is one of the core cast

0:27

members of American Horror Story and also

0:29

has been in True Blood and possibly the

0:31

best scene in the film Michael Clayton. The

0:33

Hitler file uses real history but

0:35

tells a parallel fictional story where

0:38

Peter plays doctor Drummerck. I

0:40

hope I'm pronouncing that correctly as a

0:42

psychotherapist who meets Adolph Hitler

0:45

played by Dennis. When he's just a

0:47

lowly corporal after World War one and

0:49

their relationship goes all the way

0:51

to the waning days of World War 2, where

0:53

doctor Drummerck decides to use his particular

0:56

set of skills, his knowledge of the mind

0:58

2 destroy Hitler. This is a really

1:00

high quality podcast where eighty five percent

1:02

of it It's just these two incredible actors

1:04

going head to head. We think you're really gonna

1:06

love it. So make sure to go

1:08

to hitler file dot com or search

1:10

for Hitler file wherever you listen to

1:12

podcasts. And stick around after this

1:15

episode of Tower four for a

1:17

trailer of the series. Once again,

1:19

that's hitler file dot com or search for

1:21

Hitler file wherever you listen to podcasts. Thanks.

1:24

And now 4 the season two recap of

1:26

Tower four. Seven

1:32

land productions presents tower

1:36

four. Season

1:40

two recap.

1:59

Yeah. Shut the door. Hey,

2:03

everybody. How's it going? I

2:05

was gonna make it up real quick and shut the door, and

2:07

then we're gonna get back into our tower for

2:10

season two recap.

2:12

How are

2:12

you doing, Rob? Pretty good. How about you,

2:14

Jack? Doing alright. Oh, wait.

2:16

Who's this? Who's our special

2:19

guest? Gina Coyle,

2:20

my favorite. Hi, guys. I'll

2:23

say no. Alright. Of course,

2:25

who plays AMB? Yeah. You

2:27

can be. Don't say it like that. I won't

2:29

It ain't ever again. Yeah. This is

2:31

the tariff or recap episode.

2:32

Yep. Season two recap.

2:34

Yep. But but I like, we already introduced

2:36

ourselves, but you're actually gonna do the

2:39

actual recap -- Yes. -- the written recap.

2:41

Which

2:41

is if you want to

2:43

say, like, you already listened to the season, and season

2:45

three is dropping right now. And you're like,

2:47

oh, but I don't remember much of season 2, and I

2:49

don't wanna listen to all those facades even though they're

2:52

so good. I'll just listen to the recap.

2:54

This is it right now. So Jack's

2:56

gonna take the mic, just talk for

2:58

a while, recap

2:59

everything, and then we'll get into

3:01

I was told specifically, if I mess

3:03

up one time, I'm out. Yeah.

3:05

You're not michener. I'm done. Yeah. Yeah.

3:08

You can play Young Mike. So no. No.

3:12

And it's only like four

3:13

pages long.

3:14

It's only four pages of what

3:16

what is this twelve or sixteen on the font size?

3:18

Twelve. Twelve, but not and it's not double

3:20

spaced. Not double spaced. Single spaced. Alright.

3:23

Here we go. Let's get into it. Tower

3:25

four season two recap. We

3:27

began season two. We get a flashback

3:29

to the moments just before Mike's mother's

3:31

passing. He's going through a lot of emotions.

3:33

He tells her about how he blames her and dad

3:35

for a lot, but he still loves her.

3:38

She's unconscious at the time, but he tells

3:40

her nonetheless. Mike then has a

3:42

dream of howling wind, people talking,

3:44

growling in a loud roar. Season

3:46

two has begun. At

3:48

the end of season one, Mike was beaten,

3:50

drugged, and dragged underground, or

3:52

was he it's all caps I had to hit

3:54

it like that. When he awakens

3:56

the next morning outside, everything seems

3:59

to be back to normal. As if there was no

4:01

fight in his tower, although he is still beaten

4:03

and bruised, he's in lot of pain and

4:05

walks around trying to remember what happened the

4:07

night before. Amber, you,

4:10

calls to remind him of his drunkenness but

4:12

he wants to know what they talked about. She's

4:14

upset he ditched her, but again his memory

4:17

is foggy. He didn't realize

4:19

he did. Later, Amber

4:21

calls Mike to tell him about a supply drop,

4:23

Mike finds the timing a little odd.

4:25

That night Mike has a nightmare. Not

4:27

only was he floating above his childhood home,

4:29

but he was all but he also saw a large

4:31

door flickering lights and heard growling.

4:34

When Mike awakens at four AM, he notices

4:37

Amber's light is on. He tries calling

4:39

her to no avail, but moments later,

4:41

her light goes off. Mike gives up

4:43

and plans to go back to bed until he realizes

4:45

his nightmare may have been more than just a

4:47

dream. Was it a memory?

4:50

That's when he remembers the bunker and

4:52

Jerry. Mike stays up

4:54

all night, typing away at his computer. He's

4:56

trying to take notes of everything he remembers.

4:58

Cash boxes, eye carvings,

5:00

and so on. The further back,

5:02

the easier. When Amber calls him

5:04

in the morning, he confronts her about being up

5:06

at four AM. Why? Her explanation

5:09

is simple. She was going to the bathroom. Mike

5:11

takes the explanation with a grain of salt,

5:13

but then Amber questions him about the bird.

5:16

Something he mentioned in his drunken

5:18

night. Mike also

5:20

tries to apologize for dishing Amber the other

5:22

day, although he doesn't remember why. Amber's

5:24

confused by this, but She's glad

5:26

about Nike about Nike deciding

5:29

to stay. There I go. I'm done. Yes. Several

5:32

days past, and Mike continues to have

5:34

weird dreams and nightmares. Eventually,

5:36

his foot feels good enough to walk on and

5:38

he heads up to the supply drop. When

5:40

he reaches the field though, he finds

5:42

his supplies have been ransacked. Amber

5:45

still thinking its raccoons says

5:47

he she'll call Gene and put in a

5:49

double order. Amber then warns of

5:51

an approaching storm Mike lies and

5:53

says he's going back, he's going to head back to the

5:55

tower, but instead heads to site five. He's

5:57

been dreaming about the area. When he

5:59

gets there, he can't find the tree with the

6:01

eye carving, but he does find something of interest.

6:04

Jerry, it's got a exclamation

6:06

point, of course. Sorry. Old habits.

6:09

Mike tries to question Jerry. While

6:11

he remembers him, he doesn't remember everything

6:14

they talked about, but Jerry wants none

6:16

of it. Saying that they took Mike,

6:18

he runs off. Mike notices

6:20

standing standing on banana oh,

6:22

sorry. Mike notices standing on banana

6:24

chips. Was Jerry the one who broke

6:26

into his supplies? Page

6:29

two. Mike

6:32

gets back to the tower soaking wet. He

6:34

got caught in the storm. Amber doesn't understand

6:36

why since he said he was heading back to his he

6:38

was heading Oh, boy. Said he was

6:40

heading back sooner, but keeping Site

6:42

five a secret. Not

6:45

a secret. Oh, secret. I bet. I

6:47

can just play just her ankle. While

6:50

it storms outside Mike and Amber talk about

6:52

dreams, meaningful coincidences, and

6:54

Mike's ex Sarah. Mike

6:56

also brings up Amber's late night at four

6:58

AM saying he found it odd because his

7:00

father left him at four AM. It's the

7:02

last time he ever saw his father.

7:04

Later at night, while Mike makes some food,

7:06

the power goes off. Startled,

7:09

he drops a glass, which sparks a memory,

7:11

and that's when Jerry's words finally

7:13

mean something. Mike was taken

7:15

by someone but who? Remembering

7:19

this, Mike is angry and frustrated and

7:21

actually decides to leave for good. He

7:23

packs his bags and heads down the trail.

7:26

Hours later thinking someone is following,

7:28

he stops. He thinks it's gerry until

7:30

a mysterious hiker by the name of Kyle

7:33

shows up. Kyle got lost in

7:35

the woods and just happened to stumble

7:37

by. Mike doesn't believe a word out of his

7:39

mouth and when Kyle's backpack starts

7:41

beeping, Mike loses it and attacks. Eventually,

7:44

Mike comes to his senses and the man

7:47

packs up all his loose articles from the

7:49

attack and runs off. Mike

7:51

tries to keep his composure. It turns out the

7:53

electronic beeping was just a watch, so

7:55

why did Mike lose control? He thinks

7:57

back to his troublesome relationship with

7:59

Melinda, a time where he tried to keep

8:01

his composure and deal with a person who constantly

8:03

lost control. Hours later,

8:05

while hiking along the trail, Mike hears

8:07

a radio. Even though he left

8:09

his radio in the tower. Gene

8:11

and Amber are having a conversation. He

8:14

finds the radio sitting on a stump and listens

8:16

in. Jean knows Mike is

8:18

leaving, but how? And how did

8:20

he get his radio there? And how

8:22

did his radio get there? Mike actually

8:24

he catches gene lying a few more times

8:26

to Amber. Mike goes back to the

8:28

trail and finds a note scribbled in the dirt.

8:31

Don't leave. How did everyone know

8:33

he was leaving? And why did

8:35

gene lie so much? Mike

8:37

gets a sudden impulse and starts

8:39

inspecting his body. It doesn't take long

8:41

before he finds a weird

8:42

device. As small as ABB stuck in

8:45

his arm. Was he being

8:47

tracked? To

8:48

test this theory, Mike devises a

8:51

plan to ease drop on Jean and

8:53

Amber's conversation. He heads

8:55

back to the tower, tells Amber a

8:57

lie about overarching arch, and leaves

8:59

the b b. He then hikes all

9:01

the way back to his previous spot where he

9:03

heard their conversations the day before.

9:05

He's able to hear their conversations and learn

9:07

that Gene believes he knows where Mike

9:09

is. Mike is staying in the tower.

9:11

Amber tells him the opposite after chatting with

9:13

Mike. Things get tricky as Mike

9:15

sits in his tent waiting for more conversations

9:17

between Gene and Amber. It doesn't

9:19

take long before Mike believes he has the upper

9:21

hand. With the metallic objects

9:23

sitting on his bed, he doesn't think he can be

9:25

tracked anymore. After Mike takes a

9:27

much needed nap, he talks with Amber who

9:29

admits she's hurt by their last few

9:31

chats. She feels Mike is tired of

9:33

talking to her, but Mike assures her that that's not

9:35

the case. Two days later, and Mike

9:37

is searching for Jerry, but Jerry

9:39

never shows. Mike explores the

9:41

Windwalk Trail, all while lying

9:43

to Amber about spending some time on

9:45

his writing. One night while sleeping in the

9:47

woods, Mike wakes up to a faraway

9:49

conversation. Two minutes are

9:51

talking. Mike explores to find

9:53

the men. Page

9:55

three. I'm

9:58

gonna do this, like, old timey radio. Yeah.

10:01

Hey, kicking out of the cave, Jerry's cave, the men

10:03

back all the Jerry's things on the hook. Take

10:05

off. Okay. So

10:08

let me get back to that old sentence. So I'll screw it

10:10

up completely. Mike explores to find the

10:13

men taking things out of a

10:15

cave. Jerry's cave. The men

10:17

pack all of Jerry's things on a carton takeoff.

10:19

But before Mike can explore the cave,

10:21

Jerry pounces. There are cameras

10:23

set up and Jerry didn't want Mike to

10:25

be seen. Jerry leads Mike to his side

10:27

entrance while Mike bombards him with

10:29

questions. Jerry's upset his

10:31

things were taken but not everything. And that's

10:33

when Jerry reveals a gun. Jerry

10:35

was upset, Mike was thinking of leaving and not

10:37

helping. So now Mike says he's changed

10:39

his mind. He follows Jerry as

10:41

they traversed the woods tracking the cart

10:43

and men. Mike asked Jerry

10:45

about his past, but not much is remembered, of

10:47

course. They eventually

10:49

stumble upon a large field, but not one that Mike

10:51

has ever visited. Eventually,

10:53

they find the cart's tracks disappear

10:55

near some boulders. They believe

10:57

the cart went underground, but they

10:59

can't find anything to help them. No way

11:01

in and no other tracks Mike rests

11:03

and thinks about the time he caught Melinda

11:05

cheating with the help of his friend Ricky.

11:07

He applies the same tactics by sending

11:09

Jerry back to his cave. He

11:11

wants him to be seen on camera.

11:13

The lure works. The boulders

11:15

move and cart the cart drives out from

11:17

down below. Mike runs for the

11:19

interest and reaches it just in time.

11:21

The problem now is he's shrouded

11:24

in darkness. Mike makes his way

11:26

into the bunker which eventually spans

11:28

into a larger hanger area. On

11:30

the other side of the large room is a set

11:32

of steel doors with a number four painted

11:34

on it. Using his flashlight he

11:36

searches the room, but doesn't find

11:38

much outside of some old supplies,

11:40

crates, and carts on cinderblocks,

11:43

and fluorescent lights. Lot of

11:45

fluorescence. I had to say fluorescence eighty

11:47

times. And it's not

11:49

-- Exactly. -- the recap. It's not mentioned

11:51

in the recap. So I feel the need

11:54

lessant lights all over the

11:56

place. Also, none of the

11:58

doors work. He made it underground, but it's

12:00

dark, and he's trapped. Mike

12:02

stays underground for hours trying to find a way

12:04

either deeper into the bunker or a way

12:06

out. While exploring, he thinks of his

12:08

sessions with doctor Browning, his therapist.

12:10

It took a while for him to open up to doctor Browning,

12:12

but eventually he did. Sharing about his

12:14

mother, his relationships, the feeling

12:16

of being trapped and not knowing what to do with

12:18

his life, etcetera. He

12:20

thinks back on mini sessions, especially

12:22

his last one where he shares his new job

12:24

opportunity. Being a fire

12:26

lookout, And while he knows nothing of the

12:28

job, both him and his therapist think it would not

12:30

only be a good opportunity to get away,

12:32

but also to work on his book. Eventually,

12:35

the cart and men returned. Steel

12:37

doors open and Mike watches in

12:39

awe. He notices more steel doors beyond

12:41

the cart ones but he also notices

12:43

Jerry in the back of the cart. He

12:45

seems unconscious, but is he?

12:47

What happened to him? They caught him,

12:49

but they didn't hurt him. He doesn't

12:51

have much time to dwell as the steel doors

12:54

start closing, so do the boulders

12:56

above. Mike tries to make it out, but it's

12:58

too late. Once again, he's

13:00

trapped. Hours past, but

13:02

eventually Mike finds he can talk to Amber at the

13:04

top of the entrance ramp. He does so

13:06

until the bolder doors move

13:08

revealing a night sky. He tremors

13:10

deep within the bunker and his radio

13:12

starts acting funny. He hears whispers,

13:14

static gunshots in an alarm.

13:16

The steel doors on the other side of the room

13:19

open. Only one man appears in the

13:21

cart this time and he's bloody.

13:23

He quickly drives out of the bunker.

13:25

What happened? Doesn't matter.

13:27

Mike grabs his backpack and runs out before

13:29

4 before being trapped again. He

13:31

sees the cart tracks in the grass and decides

13:33

to follow them. While Mike again

13:36

wants to get out, he's also super

13:38

curious about what's going on. He

13:40

wants answers as do all of you listening.

13:42

While he follows the tracks,

13:44

he chats with Amber who mentions the tremors.

13:47

There's also another fire in like sector

13:49

of the forest.

13:51

4 four.

13:52

This is the last page though.

13:54

Last page. Let's see. Mike

13:57

decides to finally come clean until

13:59

Amber everything. He does accept his radio

14:01

goes crazy and starts playing classical

14:03

music again. Did she hear anything of

14:05

what Mike said? Mike listens to the

14:07

music for a while while abruptly while

14:09

until it abruptly stops. Oh my

14:11

gosh. Let me start that one over. Mike

14:13

listens to the music for a while until it

14:15

abruptly stops. Not long before he finds

14:17

the cart and man, the cart had

14:19

crashed, and the man is stuck

14:21

underneath and bleeding out. Mike

14:23

frees him then starts asking questions.

14:25

He gets more questions than answers though,

14:27

although he doesn't find some

14:28

things, he does find out some

14:31

things. The man's name is

14:33

Lance. He works underground. What a what

14:34

a gig? I'm Lance. I work

14:37

underground. How are you doing? Bob,

14:39

got any bolder doors over at home goods.

14:41

Didn't think so. Anyway,

14:44

sorry. Okay.

14:46

He works underground. He mentioned something

14:48

called Iris. Test subjects

14:50

and rats. Mike tries to follow 2 has

14:52

a hard time. Amber calls to tell

14:54

Mike about helicopter doing another

14:56

drop later, but Lance says, Lance

14:59

says, but Lance says this is untrue.

15:01

Mike wants to ask more questions, but

15:03

when he starts seeing figures in the field

15:05

and woods and hearing strange whispers, knows

15:07

his time is short. Suddenly,

15:09

a scrawny figure appears and bashes

15:12

Lance's face in with a rock

15:14

splattering his brains all over the

15:16

nearby ground. Gross. His

15:18

molars and teeth and tongue, and I'm just okay.

15:20

That's not written here. No. Suddenly

15:24

he's trying to figure out a little more. More

15:26

figures appear, Mike panics, and

15:28

with Bowen Hand runs off. He

15:30

runs blindly through the woods, but he's

15:32

being followed. More mysterious,

15:34

disfigured things appear. He

15:36

tries to hold his ground, but the figures attack

15:38

him. They look like people but

15:40

not normal people. Keefer.

15:42

Are these the so called rats

15:45

Mike tries to fight to no avail?

15:47

One of the figures pounces and is about

15:49

to smash his head with a rocket

15:51

helicopter arrives overhead. This

15:53

scares them all off. Mike in pain

15:55

and exhausted passes out and the

15:57

helicopter flies off. When he awakens

15:59

its storming, He gathers what little

16:01

things he has left and walks off.

16:03

Eventually, Mike calls it, sets up

16:05

camp. He falls asleep under his

16:07

makeshift tent, and when he wakens

16:09

this time, its morning and the storm

16:11

has passed. His radio has

16:13

been smashed during the attack, but he

16:15

hears the crackle of another one. He

16:17

also sees a strange, heavily armed

16:19

mange shoot one of the other figures from the night

16:21

before. The armed demand eventually

16:23

notices Mike and fires at him.

16:25

Mike hides until the man gets too

16:27

close. Using his last arrow he fires but has

16:29

no impact on the body armor. The

16:31

mysterious man the mysterious man is about to

16:33

kill Mike until Jerry comes to the

16:35

rescue and fires first. The armored

16:37

man dies, but Jerry's been shot 2. Mike

16:40

asked Jerry where they are. He tells him Site

16:42

four. They're also not too far from

16:44

Windwalk. Mike is only one idea that

16:46

can help Jerry. He takes him to

16:48

see Amber's tower. He takes him to Amber's

16:51

tower, but they don't reach it in time.

16:53

Jerry passes out in too much pain.

16:55

Mike runs the rest of the way and finds Amber

16:57

coming out of her outhouse. He begs her for

16:59

help. On their way back to 2, Amber

17:01

apologized for not looking exactly how she

17:03

described herself. Mike doesn't care. There's a

17:05

weird awkwardness between them. Their first meeting is not

17:07

a pleasant one. When they reach

17:10

Jerry, it's too late. He's

17:12

dead. Mike has a complete breakdown

17:14

and tells Amber everything he's experienced,

17:16

the bunker, the music, Lance,

17:18

the attack, everything. The

17:20

fact that Lance works underground. There's

17:23

a door vault. He's

17:25

not crazy. But once Mike calms, Amber

17:27

has some news for him. The person laying

17:29

on the ground before them is not Jerry.

17:32

V n. Bump bump bump

17:35

bump. So, Regina,

17:38

did that sound like you just listened to

17:40

the entire

17:40

series sometime? Yeah. Yeah.

17:43

It did. I do wanna point out

17:45

though, I noticed this a lot that, you

17:47

know, it was Mike constantly lying. You

17:49

know, I feel like Uber gets a really

17:51

bad rap But

17:53

he is continuously -- Oh,

17:55

boy. --

17:55

but Mike lied. And Mike lied. And Mike

17:58

lied. So I just 2 point that out to

18:00

everybody. Yeah. Amber,

18:02

I think the moral of your story is

18:04

Amber's trustworthy. Just give her a give

18:06

her a shot. And her so many people out there

18:08

listening to this to go, uh-uh, no. I

18:10

know. My my

18:11

husband just came and, like, gave me, like, these eyes.

18:14

Like,

18:15

He's my favorite commenter when it comes to PowerPoint.

18:17

He's always like that, Amber. Sure. It's

18:19

suspicious. Yeah. I

18:20

don't trust her. I don't trust her. I don't trust

18:22

her. She's

18:23

annoying. Why she own way. Not

18:25

about another one. Oh, good

18:28

lord. No.

18:28

That's true though. Mike does lie a

18:31

lot. Right. So, I mean, you know,

18:33

there's some give and take. Hey.

18:34

Hey. Take it easy. I'm just saying There

18:36

was never Amber lied, you know. Even

18:38

lean lied. No.

18:39

No. A lot of people lied. No.

18:42

No. If I'm lying yet or

18:44

not. That's true. So

18:45

I just want to highlight that.

18:47

That makes sense. I love I love everything. Funny

18:50

funny thing. This this season

18:52

season two is the first time that

18:54

Gina and I got to record

18:56

together. Yeah. So I wrote that as I

18:59

remember. So I wrote some notes down just like

19:01

different things that we can chat about. One of the

19:03

things, as I

19:03

mentioned, that Gina came to

19:05

visit. So Rob and I

19:07

were out bowling with a lot of friends.

19:09

And -- Yeah. --

19:10

forget what it was like seven land is equal. It was

19:12

like we're all together. Yeah. Brian was

19:14

there. Amber was there. Not that Amber.

19:17

It didn't come And he was there for a little bit

19:19

of time, but I remember

19:21

Rob doesn't have a good drinking poker

19:23

face. So he comes to me because somebody's gonna

19:25

be here tomorrow. Yep. And I had

19:27

seen Steve post about

19:29

Florida or something. Are you guys going to vacation? Is

19:31

it Gina? He goes, Is

19:33

Gina to tell you? I was like,

19:35

you know? Yeah. So

19:38

it was it was really fun

19:40

to meet you and even just kinda

19:43

shit for

19:43

a

19:43

little bit. Yeah. Because before that, you just recorded remotely

19:46

and then sent us your lines. Yeah.

19:48

Yeah. Yeah. So, like, for years, we've I've

19:50

heard your voices, but, like, I've

19:52

never met anyone. So it was

19:53

cool. Yeah. And we talked about this a little bit on Robert and

19:55

a friend, which is a Patreon episode. But -- Yes.

19:57

-- what was your first like,

20:00

role that you

20:00

did for seven Lamb. Do you remember? Atlas

20:03

Avenue

20:03

beat. I was julian good. Okay.

20:05

That was julian good. She was

20:08

julian good. Oh,

20:09

Lord. Julian Good. That's

20:12

right. Yeah. No fun.

20:14

Because we started releasing Tower 4

20:16

and twenty twenty, and then that's when, like, yeah, after Julie and

20:18

Good, I'm, like, let's see if she wants to be in this.

20:20

2, like, there's only two characters,

20:22

so it's gonna be a lot more

20:24

lines. But let's see the

20:25

fun. I always help you. My first one was

20:27

paralyzed. I was a cop at the end of season one that

20:29

goes, are you okay? And that was your one line?

20:31

That was it.

20:32

Yeah. Yep. And ever since then,

20:35

none of the peasants that I would pass could you give

20:37

me eye contact?

20:38

Yeah. You

20:39

always needed a red carpet.

20:40

Always needed a red carpet. Well,

20:43

had to build pet rose petals at

20:45

me. Yeah. Makes sense. No.

20:47

That's awesome. Yeah. I mean, so we've been doing

20:49

this since twenty twenty. Tariff 4. Yeah.

20:51

And it's it's great.

20:53

Only season two,

20:55

but we release

20:55

monthly, which is something people

20:58

love Yep. To complain about Yeah.

21:01

That's the

21:02

funny thing about tower four. It's either one

21:05

star or five star. Yeah. Yeah.

21:07

Yeah.

21:07

It's it's very like Great. I love it or it's

21:10

one star. They only release once a month. Don't

21:12

even listen. Yeah.

21:13

Yeah. That's just okay. Listen.

21:15

We would love to release faster.

21:18

Yep. We would love it. We would we would

21:20

literally

21:20

love that. You know, that's when

21:22

we make money. That's when we the

21:25

sometimes it's just not doable. We try our hardest, but

21:27

Gino is recorded super fast. Gino,

21:29

thank you for that. Yeah. No. Well, I

21:31

don't wanna even get mad at me.

21:33

Sound like at least I can be like, it's not me.

21:35

My line's running.

21:38

Yeah. I stepped

21:38

into my

21:39

bunk or even gave me the squeeze. Yeah.

21:42

Hi,

21:42

English. Who's gonna say this

21:44

this week? Yeah. Alright. So

21:47

we wanted to do the recap for

21:49

everybody. So if you're getting ready for season three

21:51

right now or you are just wanting to

21:53

have something for tower four between season two

21:55

and

21:55

three. This is great, or are you just catching up

21:57

and listening to all the recap episodes? Or some of

21:59

our wonderful fans have listened to this series quite

22:01

a few

22:01

times. Yeah. We are going to do a little bit

22:04

more discussion about it, and then we have

22:06

questions from everyone else --

22:07

Yeah. -- starting on my fans and

22:10

stuff on Twitter. We've we've made a post on

22:12

Twitter or Facebook, which by the way,

22:14

if you don't follow us at seven

22:16

land podcasts. We're on Facebook.

22:18

Instagram -- Mhmm. -- Twitter, and we even have a

22:20

Facebook group. So join that because there's always

22:22

a lot of discussions. Not only for Tower four, but

22:24

for all of our podcasts. Yes.

22:26

If you don't a ton of different ones, ton

22:28

of different genres and everything.

22:30

So yeah. I mean, I

22:32

I wrote down some, like, just, like,

22:35

little notes like, mostly some of

22:37

it is, like, writing

22:39

stuff. Like, for instance, I don't like

22:41

writing flashbacks, but

22:43

because Mike is the only character with

22:45

Vo. Right? Now, it's kinda like

22:47

necessary to break up

22:49

the everyday life

22:51

of

22:51

Mike, you know, Cooking

22:54

food. Yeah. Walking along

22:56

a trail. And it's been four hours since

22:58

I've used the outhouse.

23:00

Yeah. I have to I

23:02

have to add something -- Yeah. --

23:04

more to it. So I feel like flashbacks

23:06

to an extent a lot of

23:08

them are gonna come back later on story wise and or

23:11

they tie into the episode at

23:13

hand. It's

23:15

interesting because, yeah, you have the only

23:17

voice over. Gina,

23:20

you just do, like,

23:22

alliances all over the radio. And

23:24

some of them. So, like,

23:27

I don't know if Gina will

23:29

ever have voice over,

23:31

maybe Amber will at some point.

23:32

Yeah. Once she finally reveals her dark 4. Uh-huh.

23:35

Not

23:36

her the fact that

23:37

she lies all the time. Yeah. Yeah. She's

23:39

a chronological

23:40

liar. I don't

23:41

believe it. I don't think I'd be devastated if it was, like,

23:44

it's all true. Like, you are the worst

23:46

person. I feel like No. No. No. No. No. I

23:48

was lied to be so remorseful.

23:52

Mike, I hate

23:53

you. I'm actually working with

23:56

whatever. There was one not a

23:58

complaint, but somebody commented saying

24:00

that they wish there could just be

24:03

a Amber and Mike

24:05

flirting over the radio. Sorry.

24:07

We

24:07

just missed that. For the 4 missed the first like, first

24:10

three episodes. I'm like, we have a this is mystery

24:13

thriller. No. You

24:16

hang up. Yeah. No. You hang

24:18

up. You're an hour. A

24:20

solid hour of

24:20

that. Yeah. So what's it like

24:23

on your side of the boy?

24:24

Yeah. I saw this squirrel did you see

24:27

it? Yeah. We're miles away from

24:29

each other. That's cool. Stop

24:33

it. Yeah.

24:34

I also I'm

24:34

trying to, like, look in do

24:37

this too -- Yeah. -- and say, okay,

24:39

things we're not going to be

24:41

releasing on this episode.

24:44

Our exact release dates for

24:46

season three, spoilers. Yeah.

24:48

Spoilers,

24:48

like, major We'll

24:49

try to give, like, a little bit

24:52

of stuff we're not gonna do major. And Rob is

24:54

the Kevin Feige, so I'll let him

24:56

leak. He feels like leaking because

24:58

I will leak the

25:00

wrong

25:00

thing. Yeah. About Mike's laser eyes and stuff.

25:02

There's gonna be a female Thor. That's right.

25:04

That's right. In our show. In our

25:07

show? Yes. It is the female

25:09

Thor from Fire

25:09

Yeah. Yes. I'm

25:13

trying to look through here. So,

25:15

like, I also did here's here's just

25:17

like a little Easter

25:18

egg. I put besides

25:20

the fuck berry thing -- Yeah. -- which is

25:22

like in all of our podcast

25:24

for some reason. It's just like screw this guy

25:26

named Barry. Yeah. And that's something

25:29

that we've put in most of our

25:30

podcast. Yeah.

25:32

Barry Barry's played by a good friend of

25:34

ours. Who is actually, like,

25:35

the sweetest guy? And

25:38

Atlas Avenue

25:39

2. And then ever since we rode an episode in

25:41

Atlas Avenue beat where our the

25:43

main character lock, like, just rips into him for

25:45

no reason really. Right. Ever since then,

25:47

it's been kind of like screw this guy.

25:50

So we've put that, like,

25:52

little bit of dialogue in end of all

25:54

hope. We put it now in tower four

25:56

season

25:56

two. Yeah. We put it in a lot of things.

25:58

And next time Barry is in town, we

26:00

need to do an Atlas Avenue b

26:03

live streams so people can actually

26:05

meet who you're telling you of fuck themselves. I'm just

26:07

worried that people people

26:09

like daring too much. Yeah. They they might be

26:10

the to them. Oh, boy. I

26:13

also wrote down that doctor

26:15

Browning, Mike's therapist. I named

26:17

after Todd Browning, the director of Freaks

26:19

and Dracula. Wow. And

26:21

in paralyzed, another show that we

26:23

do our horror

26:24

show, there's a doctor Carpenter, and

26:26

I named him after John Carpenter, and I named him after John Carpenter, or

26:28

the horror. Oh, I

26:28

like junk junk folder. Yeah. So I did

26:31

and there's actually a reason why Todd

26:33

Browning is kind of the director I

26:35

chose for this one. I won't

26:37

say exactly because I don't wanna spoil stuff. So Right.

26:39

But that's that was that

26:42

was, like, a little As

26:43

everybody's, frankly, goes to watch

26:45

the movie.

26:46

Yeah. Dracula and freaks. It's a fucking

26:48

world class. Yeah. Yeah. One of

26:50

the characters' name is Mike. Oh,

26:52

scrubbing. Those now. So,

26:55

yeah, I I figured we could get into

26:57

some questions. There's a lot of really good ones in here.

26:59

Yeah. Go ahead.

27:00

Whatever do you wanna start it right now?

27:02

Well, we'll do a couple. And then if I I think

27:04

it's something while somebody's

27:05

mentioning, I'm I'm gonna I'll talk about it or

27:08

whatever. Okay. So here's the first one. It's actually

27:10

Regina. It's from Steve Coyle. It says work

27:12

on this personality is

27:13

so annoying. Because I'm

27:17

thinking of you.

27:20

That's recorded. If you ever played with no, that

27:23

is the reverse card. That's

27:25

okay. That's so

27:28

good. Okay. This is

27:30

an interesting one. And I I actually am gonna let

27:32

you take this one first, Jeanette.

27:34

Curious, this is from Jonathan Shipman

27:36

from Facebook. Curious how much

27:39

interpretation the voice actors take with their

27:41

characters and script. There are

27:43

a ton of small jokes in the dialogue

27:45

wondering if that comes from the voice actors or from

27:47

you, Robert? Okay.

27:49

Well, when I when Rob gives

27:52

me a character, usually, like, he gives me, like, a couple

27:54

lines. Like, this is what I'm thinking of the person.

27:56

And then, like, I look things over.

27:58

I don't d at all

28:00

I'm like, I don't wanna mess up you're

28:01

doing. So I do what you say, like, literally word

28:03

for word. Like, if I mess up an article, I'm like,

28:05

oh, no. Right.

28:06

Oh, really? Nice. Yeah. Yeah. If it's,

28:09

like, it's done. I say, oh, I'm like, oh I gotta fix that. Like, it's 2 much

28:11

fun. Right? Like, I won't get in

28:13

trouble. So I will still do

28:15

it, like, religiously.

28:17

And one the things we do also is, like,

28:20

you send us, like, you edit

28:22

down your your

28:24

dialogue when you send it to us. Right?

28:26

Yeah. Yeah. I'm surprised. No. I appreciate that because

28:28

that's something that, like, not everybody does, not

28:30

that they have to -- Right. -- when they have

28:32

to. Yeah. Yeah. Stuff.

28:33

But, like, I noticed, I I'm always like, this is the one that

28:35

she liked the best. Like, I If you took

28:37

the time to edit mine down,

28:40

Yeah.

28:40

From all the bull crap

28:41

that I'm saying

28:41

in the

28:42

studio -- Yeah. -- it would take as long as

28:44

editing the actual episode, I would

28:47

imagine. Yeah. That's

28:47

right. And it depends, like, sometimes I'm,

28:50

like, trying to figure out, like, okay. Like, this

28:52

one line could be set in twenty different ways, and it

28:54

would mean something different based on the

28:56

inflections and pauses. And so sometimes I go

28:58

down a black hole, and I'm like, I don't

29:00

know what he means. And then I just kinda I'm

29:02

like, he'll tell me. Right? Like, if I got it right, you

29:04

can let me know. Well, otherwise,

29:06

like, I'll go crazy if

29:07

I, like, overthink it. So Yeah.

29:10

And and and a lot of this this dialogue

29:12

is hard to play with in terms

29:14

of being the actor reading the script. There are

29:16

some that we've gotten a little bit of

29:18

freedom to add our own jokes in and our

29:20

own inflection and stuff like

29:21

that. But Tower four is really not one of

29:23

those because everything that said

29:25

is very purposeful. There's this

29:26

-- Yeah. -- behind it. So we can't do too much.

29:29

Now every once in a while, I'll

29:31

I'll change the inflection to what it's

29:33

meant to be, and either Raul go do not

29:35

do that again. And

29:37

I'll

29:38

4. Oh, no. That's perfect.

29:40

Let's go with that. Yeah. So, I

29:41

mean, in terms

29:42

of actual changing of the dialogue, not for Tower

29:44

four, that doesn't really happen. But

29:47

yeah. I'm a little guy. A

29:49

lot of times, like yeah.

29:52

If it like, as long as it doesn't

29:55

deviate, like, where the story is going or whatever. Like, it's

29:57

not too big of a deal, but, like,

29:59

there are certain ways that lines have to be

30:01

2. And because it's so dialogue

30:04

heavy, Yeah. It is important to

30:06

get the right inflection and say that the the

30:08

thing the right way so it matches

30:10

the other character because there's so much back and

30:12

forth between -- Yeah. -- I can Gina. I will say though, I

30:14

do have a problem sometimes that I I

30:16

write a lot of run on sentences, which

30:18

Jack

30:18

loves. I don't know if you guys if

30:21

you ever sent too many of you, but I've never

30:22

noticed. I don't know. I

30:25

love long

30:26

sentences. I just just that's

30:28

what commas are for, man. Yeah. I

30:30

there are so many times I'll start reading a

30:33

sentence and I'll think I'm reaching the end of it, and I'll

30:35

realize that it's gonna

30:37

keep going and I just

30:37

And then he takes a deep breath. Come on, man.

30:39

I'm gonna try

30:40

to read it again. A

30:43

lot of these Questions that I have

30:45

guys are very story driven

30:47

--

30:47

Yes, ma'am. -- I would love to read

30:49

them like some of them, why create rat

30:52

people? What is the month or is Amber in on it

30:53

all? We would love to tell you

30:55

2, but that's gonna have to be kind of a

30:58

2 Yeah. But they don't really wanna

30:59

know. I don't think you guys really wanna

31:02

know us. Right.

31:02

So am I listening? everyone's so fun. Yeah. Yeah. I

31:05

think a lot of people

31:07

loved and I'm surprised by this.

31:09

A lot of people love the ending where she says

31:12

that's not Jerry. Like, I just love that as,

31:14

like, the final line. There are got some

31:16

emails and messages from it

31:17

saying, like, the best and That's the greatest

31:19

one that we've done. Okay. And I love that.

31:21

And there was just one guy. One guy

31:23

that commented was

31:24

like, really? It's not Jerry. That's what you

31:27

got, the operator. I I

31:29

love that line. When I read it, I was like,

31:31

oh, this is cool. Actually, when I got the last

31:33

episode, once I realized that they were

31:35

meeting, because usually, what I'll do when I get the script is

31:37

I like to I only pay attention to, like, the scenes

31:39

I'm in, because I don't wanna know anything else that's going

31:41

on in the world of the story.

31:44

as soon as I realized that we were meeting for the

31:46

first time, I was like, I

31:48

wanna do this, like They do one

31:50

take. You know what I mean? Like, I wanted my

31:52

shock, like, it's kinda like as a fan too. Like,

31:54

because I don't get anything really in advance of

31:56

anyone else. So it's, like, once I realized I was,

31:58

like, oh my god, this is the moment they're gonna

32:00

meet. So I was, like, Alright. Let me go right record

32:02

it right away because I wanted my reaction to

32:04

kinda be

32:04

natural. Like, I wanted it to match how she would feel.

32:06

I like it because it's actually, like,

32:10

know if you did this purposefully, but

32:12

it's kind of, like, a little more toned down

32:14

and kind of, like Kind

32:17

of, Yeah.

32:17

But why in

32:20

here? Yeah. Because

32:20

I think it's different too. Like, it's like

32:22

keyboard warriors. Right? Like, it's one thing to not

32:24

see the person that you're talking to and can be whoever

32:26

you wanna be. Right? But once you're face to

32:28

face with somebody, like, that mask has

32:31

to come off a little

32:32

bit. You know what I mean? Well, yeah. She's apologetic because

32:35

she kinda did, like, tell a little bit of

32:37

a fib of how much it

32:39

was and

32:40

all the that that to me is great

32:42

2 it kinda mimics real life because,

32:44

you know, everybody kinda has their own

32:46

image of somebody else in their

32:48

head. Yeah. And I'm sure at some point.

32:51

But

32:51

it's not like she catched up. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

32:52

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

32:55

No. No. No. No.

32:56

No. No. No. No. No. No. Didn't think mine'd

32:58

be bigger than yours, did you, Mac?

33:01

Dang it. Ramsay?

33:04

Yeah. Or is it

33:06

Ombre? No. I have

33:08

a good one from Twitter, from

33:10

at Taylordale Reid. What

33:13

was so I'm so you kind of answered this,

33:15

so I'm just gonna kinda take you back off of this.

33:17

How was it getting prepared and recording

33:19

the last episode of season two, especially

33:22

for Mike? So high energy such high stakes, great voice

33:24

acting yada yada. Thank you.

33:26

So this is one of the

33:28

biggest things that I've heard about Mike.

33:31

From all their reviews because I I read them and I

33:32

shouldn't. Yeah. Don't.

33:33

I don't know why you do. I don't know the name. He he's

33:36

so monotone and he's so

33:39

Kinda, you know what I mean? And that my

33:42

justification for that was he's alone in the

33:43

woods all the time. Yeah. He motes a little

33:45

bit when he's talking to Amber, but when he's in his

33:47

own head and he's out in the woods. I imagine that's

33:50

probably not very high energy. Yeah.

33:52

Nobody emotes a lot to so I figured

33:54

that's what I do for Mike. So when this was

33:56

kinda coming to the culmination and things

33:58

were really crazy. I was I I did

34:00

kinda say that to myself. Just like you said, when you're meeting

34:02

ever the first time, I thought same thing. So I was

34:03

like, oh, shit. He's meeting Amber.

34:05

Yeah. Yeah. And then it was

34:07

like, oh, he's actually in a situation

34:10

where he could die. So he's probably

34:12

not gonna be like, oh, no.

34:14

Everyone's surrounding me. Please come down. That's

34:16

enough. So I I

34:18

will sometimes look at Mike and go, okay, turn

34:20

me way way down because I'm gonna go crazy this one. And one

34:22

just not only for the

34:24

performance for the performance sake, I wanted

34:26

that one to be like, okay, I don't want

34:28

people to at Mike and go. He's

34:30

always so just kinda

34:32

wimpy and monotone because he always

34:34

kinda gets his butt kicked all the

34:35

time. But I also highlights

34:38

the last

34:39

like, the last speech you

34:41

had,

34:41

like, kind of -- Yeah. --

34:44

because she's just going, like, Mike.

34:46

Yeah.

34:47

Hey. Yeah.

34:48

By the way, that's not scary. Right. Right. You're just you're just you're just gonna

34:50

definitely get my attention. But, you know, he's struggling with

34:52

so much. He's like I said, he's got this

34:56

ass kicked. He's always out there and he's always hurt and he's like, what am

34:58

I doing out here? Yeah. And

35:00

finally, he's like,

35:00

okay. At this point, I'm gonna

35:03

die if I don't put up

35:05

or shut up. That is that is a

35:07

struggle though story wise

35:10

is which I think it worked

35:12

out good for season 4, but it's like,

35:14

why is he still there? Yeah.

35:16

That's the thing. It's how do you keep

35:18

this character there when so much

35:21

craziness is happening. And now it's kind of at that

35:23

culmination of he he doesn't wanna be

35:25

there

35:25

anymore. Yeah. And

35:26

but now he met with Amber and who knows

35:28

what she's gonna say at this point, they're

35:31

obviously gonna have a sit down or

35:33

or something because she just

35:36

dropped some big news on him and -- Yeah.

35:38

--

35:38

he just had a kind of mental breakdown.

35:40

Mean, you did that in one take just, like, reading through and, like I

35:42

had to seeing

35:43

I had to. Just like you said, I was, like, I

35:45

can't get this out. I can't stop in polls because

35:47

I gotta keep that momentum going.

35:50

I want it to sound very, very genuine. Mhmm.

35:52

This is kind of a two parter question. 2 the

35:54

question came from Facebook. Again, I'm gonna get

35:56

over to Instagram after this. What

35:59

are some of the things you look forward to

36:01

in season three? Anything you can reveal? I

36:03

wanna start with that question

36:05

for season two. 2 was the

36:07

thing that you read or you wrote

36:10

when you were in season two 2 you were like,

36:12

oh, man. That is so good.

36:14

Like, what was your favorite part,

36:16

season two? That comes from Colin

36:18

Fanger. Fanger, FENGIER

36:20

Sorry if I got that

36:22

wrong. I'll let Gina

36:24

go first. I was really excited when

36:26

they met. Like I said, that really, like, stop me in

36:28

my tracks. And I was like, wow. Like, this is

36:30

two, you know, two whole seasons building

36:33

up to this. And I feel like, you know, if there was, like, a

36:35

teaser of it, like, what was that season one when they,

36:37

like, almost did their old workout. Right? So

36:39

it was, like, you know, I'm, like, I

36:41

like that kind of like trope. So I

36:43

was really, really excited about that. And I have

36:45

to be honest, every time I get a new script,

36:47

I'm always waiting to play the dashboard I'll be

36:49

like, vindicated. Like, I can't really wait to cry a

36:52

moment. And so I look it on the script. So I'm like, is

36:54

this the one? This is the one

36:55

where Amber's not in on it.

36:58

Exactly. Stream that one from you. Oh,

37:00

it it is

37:01

me. You're welcome. There was one. Oh my gosh.

37:04

I forget which episode

37:06

it was. But I think it might have even been in season one where I was like,

37:08

oh my god. Like, I am

37:10

the big guy. And I was so upset. So

37:12

I was like but then it turned around, I was

37:14

like, no. And then, like, even, like,

37:16

the titles. So there you

37:17

go. Like, you're homeless thing in

37:19

your computer. So in your computer.

37:21

It was

37:23

very easy. How about two? I mean, it's probably the same

37:26

thing. I knew starting

37:28

season two was gonna be a

37:30

struggle of

37:32

where to go. I feel like a lot of shows always have their sophomore slump

37:34

because, like -- Yeah. -- season one comes

37:36

out and it's good, and people expect

37:39

so much from the next season, and it never lives up to the

37:42

first season.

37:42

Never. It's like

37:43

and and we like slow that's one thing I wrote down,

37:45

which we always mention is we like

37:48

slow builds in our

37:49

shows. So there's always like, you know, there's a lot of slow moving parts and

37:51

a lot of dialogue and a lot of stuff

37:53

going on before it culminates

37:55

into this big think it helps

37:57

2 decide the piece. It puts people into their

38:00

head. It lets them create what they

38:02

think, and it lets them kinda build it a

38:04

little

38:04

bit. Well, and and kind of toying with the fact

38:06

is amber, bad? Is she good? Does she know what's going on? Does

38:08

she not? Is she a big player? Is she

38:10

a small part? Whatever it is? There's a

38:12

lot, but I knew that they were gonna

38:16

meet at the end of season two. And I think I told you pretty

38:18

early on when I was writing that they were gonna

38:20

meet. I just didn't know exactly

38:24

how But but after I wrote the first

38:26

episode of season two, I was

38:28

like, I think she's gonna be the one that

38:30

reveals this

38:32

isn't Jerry. Yeah. So that was the big thing, and I was kind of, like, excited to get and

38:34

I'm, like, now how do I get there? Yeah. So I was

38:36

getting to that

38:37

point. I had my favorite moment

38:39

of season two was

38:42

And I remember reading it on the on the

38:44

script and going, oh, shit. Let's go.

38:46

Was when he was switching back and

38:48

forth between channels and listening to

38:52

people. I was like, well played, Mike. Yeah. Well

38:54

played. The eavesdropping and listening to

38:56

people and his commentary in between was

38:59

like, come on. Give me something. Give me something. I just that

39:01

was the most intense moment for me other than, of course, the

39:04

finale's -- Right. --

39:06

moments. But but that part where

39:08

he was starting to play him 2, I remember

39:10

hearing that and going, this is gonna be a good one. 2 as

39:12

as that one dropped all the comments of,

39:14

like, keter Mike, you got

39:15

this. Love not. I will say that some people were

39:17

like, oh, maybe Amyr's not in on it on with

39:20

that episode. Like,

39:22

some people thought, like, oh, maybe she doesn't really know what's going on.

39:25

Maybe it's all gene or, you know so

39:27

I kinda like that aspect of

39:30

it too.

39:30

Yeah. There are so many questions and they're

39:32

all just so solely driven. Like, I can't do

39:35

too much.

39:38

But

39:38

we appreciate all the For real This was 4 overwhelming

39:40

all the comments that were in. I was like,

39:42

dang, man, let's let's get to some of these. I would

39:44

love to do something a little bit peeking

39:47

towards spoilers,

39:48

but we'll see. I

39:50

will say that for next season,

39:53

which we're not sure when it's

39:55

dropping, We just finished We have an idea, but I don't want

39:57

we don't wanna say, 2, it's gonna come out at

39:59

this time because if it doesn't,

40:01

life has

40:01

happened a lot

40:04

this And a lot of great things have happened for us that maybe don't

40:06

translate to your release schedule.

40:08

Right. But there are more, like,

40:10

really amazing things happening and

40:12

we're just trying to get this

40:14

out for you as fast as we

40:15

can. So we apologize for the delay.

40:16

But And I wrote down that we had a lot of

40:18

issues this season besides two 2. Because

40:21

we live in

40:21

Florida. Two

40:22

hurricanes. 2. Two hurricanes. Jack

40:24

had a baby recently. We've

40:27

had people who've got COVID

40:29

the flu who couldn't record

40:30

Somebody who got COVID on

40:33

a cruise. Yeah. A lot

40:35

of side characters that we had

40:37

a side character who played a small character in tower

40:39

four, but we didn't wanna recast 4, and he just

40:41

got married. So we had to wait till he got

40:43

back from his honeymoon. I

40:46

moved in with my girlfriend. That took

40:48

a long time, and now we're converting my

40:50

old place into a full 2. So

40:53

that's been taking a lot of

40:55

time. And then we transitioned to bloody disgusting. We've had

40:57

a lot of Zoom calls. My grandma

40:59

passed away. I mean, there's just so

41:01

many things that,

41:04

like, just we can't like, we release as fast as we can. And we and we

41:06

do and every episode takes

41:08

now, especially with season two, every episode

41:10

of Tower four took at least fifty hours --

41:12

Yeah. -- to create So

41:14

it's a

41:14

lot. And then we have so many other shows

41:16

-- Yeah. -- that we do. And yeah.

41:19

Here's one that's for for

41:21

Gina, but she doesn't know, is Jerry actually Amber

41:23

in disguise? That's a fun 10I gotta go

41:25

ahead and said no.

41:29

Here's actually a really good one from

41:31

bearded train

41:34

monkey. This is a couple different ones. I think

41:36

they're all good. Have you ever

41:38

considered publishing some character and

41:40

location artwork. I can answer

41:42

this one. We aren't artists. Yeah.

41:44

Yeah. So the answer is

41:46

no. They give you stake figure. Do we

41:48

know the details and stuff like that?

41:50

Yeah. But we don't

41:52

have that skill set of drawing and

41:53

illustrating. But if you know

41:56

somebody or you well, we haven't reached out

41:58

recently. Literally

41:58

just

41:58

two days ago

41:59

to say they wanna do a they they were working on

42:01

a painting or something. I forget their name. I wish

42:04

I could give them credit right now, but they wanted to draw Amber. They

42:06

wanted to draw Mike. They wanted to draw the

42:08

tower. And I said, please, the

42:10

moment you're done with that, send it over to us. We'd like Yeah.

42:13

That'd

42:13

be awesome. But the funny thing with that was she I

42:16

I forget who it was. But, yeah, she was she's

42:18

like, I wanna draw them, but then

42:21

I realized I listen to the last episode and find out -- Yeah.

42:23

-- Amber is not exactly who she said she was. Right. So now

42:25

how do I draw them,

42:26

like, trying to Which way do I go? I

42:29

mean,

42:29

you can see, like, Amber before and

42:32

Amber after sure. You're, like, ideal and then For yeah.

42:34

Real

42:35

expectations, reality.

42:36

Yeah. Five hundred days

42:39

or somewhere. Here's that thought was a really good one. Is Mike's

42:41

book based on the relationship he wished he had

42:43

with Mel's kid or a relationship he

42:46

used

42:47

to have? I guess it's not

42:50

spoiler ish. I

42:52

don't even know if I should say all this or even if

42:54

I have said all this. Yeah. The character

42:57

of Melinda is actually loosely based on

42:59

a relation In reality. I

43:01

actually have. So

43:05

there is a situation where it was

43:07

kind of like, I thought

43:09

that expanding upon it. I was like,

43:11

this might be interesting

43:13

because being a figure when you're not really the father and

43:15

you're just brought in and you're dating somebody and

43:18

but it's going rocky and stuff like

43:19

that? Are you really like,

43:21

but you're tied to the

43:22

kid because you wanna be a good, like,

43:23

role model and all that kind of stuff. I wanted

43:26

to put that in the show. Yeah.

43:27

Especially for the fact

43:30

that Mike didn't have a father growing up. But, I mean, he did, but then disappeared.

43:32

So it's like, I

43:34

I imagine it is what he

43:36

had with this child. Like, he trying

43:39

to be a good role model, trying to take care of this kid

43:41

and take care of the mother who obviously

43:43

was on drugs and alcohol and all this

43:45

kind of stuff and and doing things that she

43:47

shouldn't have been doing. And he just

43:50

couldn't take it anymore so he had to leave

43:52

and then he feels guilty because he was

43:54

like, when I missed the kid, because I, you

43:56

know, I was trying to be there for

43:58

the kid. How much can you be there though before it kind of tears you

44:00

apart? So it's like yeah.

44:02

I mean, I think that that's what

44:04

he experienced and

44:06

then that's what he's putting into his book, but he's expanding upon it, kinda

44:08

like what I did for the show. He's doing

44:10

it for his book where he's

44:13

making it more you

44:15

know, developed with -- Yeah. --

44:17

an entire novel. Here's one that

44:19

we've answered a

44:22

lot, another caps, but it's a good

44:24

question to ask,

44:26

what made y'all come up with this storyline?

44:28

It's different and I could have never heard

44:30

another one like it. Genius. That's from

44:33

Yvette Charay

44:33

Pedi. A lot of people ask this

44:36

question. Except a lot of people Is

44:38

this app or

44:39

firewatch? Yeah.

44:40

Say is I did not what was. Apparently, you've

44:43

heard of it. No. I I played it

44:45

a long time ago.

44:45

Yeah. When it came on two

44:48

thousand four 4 apparently, it's very loosely based on some some

44:50

of the things that have happened in this one, but it's

44:52

like people wanna know, is this

44:54

after 2 No.

44:56

No.

44:57

I I wrote down, like See, and

44:59

I and I was worried about always saying this

45:01

because it was kinda spoiler ish, but now

45:03

I think I can because

45:05

of season two finale and

45:08

everything. There was a lot of inspirations.

45:10

Sometimes I'll play a game and I like the

45:12

setting. For instance, for the Stonehouse, I play

45:14

Dear Esther, which was like this Aberdeen Aberdeen Island

45:16

where this person just washes up. And all it

45:18

is is they just walk around trying to figure out why

45:20

they're there. Right. So I like the setting

45:22

of that.

45:24

So I was like, oh, but I think it'd be better if it

45:25

was, like, it was, like, a thriller or mystery or

45:28

whatever it was. And here's and the other thing too

45:30

is, like, 2 don't

45:32

own an idea. Right? Just because

45:34

Firewatch takes place and he's a lookout. Right.

45:36

Does it change that? You can only ever have one

45:38

cop video game or one

45:40

cop movie. Or you know what I

45:41

mean? One We try to make a movie -- different. Yeah. I know it starts out

45:44

like it probably is like similar and

45:46

stuff like

45:48

that. But we try to make it different enough that it's its own thing. In fact, people are

45:50

like, oh, this is kinda stranger things ish. Oh,

45:52

this is kinda, like, lost. Right. It's like, yeah.

45:54

Those were all inspiration. They all they all

45:58

draw from other inspirations I had is Super

45:59

eight, if you ever seen the movie Super eight, and Island

46:01

of Doctor Moreau. Holy

46:04

cow. Love that movie. If you

46:06

haven't seen is under doctor Murrow. Go watch that as some of Kilmer's

46:08

best work. No, it's

46:09

not. It's so horrible. But the book is really And

46:12

then Marlon Brando's in it as

46:14

well.

46:14

Right?

46:16

Yes.

46:16

Yeah. Yeah. That one. The nine He's doctor Moreau. Yeah.

46:19

But that actually island of

46:21

doctor Moreau is probably the

46:24

closest at this point

46:26

to what tower four could

46:28

be. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from

46:30

that. Not to say it's exactly the same, but it's

46:32

a big inspiration for what's to

46:34

come So there's a little spoiler.

46:38

Yeah. Let's see.

46:40

Have you

46:41

ever used an air fryer yet? No. I'm just

46:44

kidding. That's That's something that they 2

46:46

Somebody did say, what's with the banana

46:48

chips

46:48

and Somebody asked

46:50

what Mike's favorite food is.

46:53

Yeah.

46:53

Because they said

46:54

Amber's favorite food, they said, is told in the

46:56

stories that they want. It's banana chips. Yeah.

46:58

Mike's No. No. No. No. That's

47:01

Amber's Right. Some

47:02

mics. I don't know. Mics is probably salmon, linguine

47:05

and coles salmon. I

47:07

don't know. Yeah. I

47:09

I can't say Have

47:11

you ever

47:11

had banana chips? Do you

47:14

know? I I

47:15

actually do enjoy them. Yeah. You know

47:17

what I'm saying? Have I

47:19

had banana

47:21

chips? No. Oh, they're

47:21

really good. Yeah. I think they're pretty good. I like dried

47:24

fruit in jello.

47:24

Me too. It's just it's fruit. It's

47:27

dry and it has more sugar. Here's

47:29

a here's a good one, though. I like

47:31

this one from at Woo

47:33

pork chop on

47:35

Twitter. Creatively, what was the reason you decided not to have

47:38

Mike go deeper into the

47:40

bunker? I'll tell

47:41

you that. So

47:44

we're on, I think, episode eight when he gets to

47:46

the bunker. Right. I

47:49

needed the the the

47:51

season to end at

47:54

him meeting Amber. Like, I I wanted it to be there. My thing

47:56

with him going into the bunker was

47:59

I felt that

48:01

it would have really just kinda

48:04

taken a turn, and then it would

48:06

have been something different. He wouldn't have been able to

48:08

get You don't you

48:09

don't there if Mike goes deeper into the bunker.

48:11

Yeah. There's also another reason

48:14

that's more story ish too that I was 2, if

48:16

I do it now, if he goes down

48:18

there, it's

48:19

not gonna work out and it's for

48:21

story reasons. Right.

48:22

Because after he meets Amber, he's supposed to

48:24

go to the dayg of a system to find

48:26

and -- Yeah. -- to train -- So to win the

48:28

actual 2- into the bunker. No. There

48:31

was there's a reason

48:33

there's another reason for

48:35

it 4 that that reason I don't really wanna say.

48:38

Mhmm. But it it

48:40

is story driven in the fact

48:42

of the bunker he

48:44

went into you know, a lot

48:46

of the lights were off. He couldn't power

48:48

anything. He couldn't get out of it. And there's a

48:50

reason for

48:50

that. And I felt like him

48:53

also having his his thinking about his memories

48:56

of, like, with doctor

48:58

Browning and and then

49:00

also wondering,

49:02

what went on down there. He saw the lights going on.

49:04

He saw danger. And he just

49:06

said, no. You know

49:07

what? I'm gonna escape this time. I'm

49:09

ill out of it. For this.

49:11

Yeah. the mean, it's one of those scenarios where if you look at it from,

49:13

you know, his set of shoes -- Yeah. -- you may

49:15

not be willing to dive further into

49:17

mystery for

49:19

somebody like Jerry. Well, he thought he thought

49:21

it would be easier to just talk to this guy who drove

49:23

out of there, who's all bloody. I'd rather find him -- Yeah.

49:25

-- and try to get out of here now

49:27

because this is not going the

49:30

way we wanted it to -- Yeah. -- instead of going into the bunker, and he even

49:32

has a line that says, I could

49:35

essentially get trapped again. Right.

49:37

And then what happens

49:38

if, like, the guy doesn't come back or not nobody

49:40

else comes back? What

49:41

if what if I'm stuck after

49:43

that? Yeah. So How about at taco

49:45

underscore starfish? Ballad of Wallet guy. When

49:48

is it coming? Now, that is

49:50

a reference to across

49:52

America. Out of the reference, which is another

49:54

podcast we did.

49:55

Yeah. That's It is. It's not a

49:57

tower four question, but it still

49:59

is valid. Yeah. Because

50:01

that character was born -- At some

50:03

point. -- to walk at some

50:04

point or across

50:05

America rather. Yeah. Yeah. At some point,

50:07

we'll do an episode

50:10

for that. I do also have written that now that

50:12

we have transferred some

50:14

of our podcast over

50:16

to acast, 2 work with

50:18

Blaise disgusting, which is something that we

50:20

recently did over the last couple of

50:21

months. That was something that took a lot of time,

50:23

a lot of of conversation

50:26

and effort, stuff that took us

50:28

away from the

50:28

keyboards. Yeah. So

50:29

and that's one of

50:30

those things that now that it's done, it's

50:32

done so we're good, but you'll also notice that it doesn't say semi land

50:34

productions. It says bloody for them.

50:37

That's fine. Like, that's their company

50:39

that they're trying to

50:42

bring some the umbrella company that they're trying to bring other podcasts onto it. They're

50:44

gonna help us with marketing and blah

50:46

blah. We're adding more, you know, ads to

50:48

hopefully make more

50:50

in revenue. But the

50:52

reason why I just wanna

50:54

stress that is we're still we still

50:56

have creative control over

50:57

it. Yeah. They're

50:57

just handling the ads and the marketing.

51:00

We're really still, like they've said, just do your show. We're not gonna step

51:02

in, release it as much as you

51:03

can. We're not gonna step in. We're not

51:05

gonna tell

51:05

you what you can write, what

51:08

you can That's a hard line.

51:10

That's a hard line for us. Like, a

51:12

lot of creators have hard

51:14

lines. I won't do this. I won't

51:16

do that. Giving up creative control of our stories

51:18

and being able to take them where they wanna

51:20

go, that's ours.

51:22

Yeah. Like, we're not gonna let

51:24

somebody step in and say, well,

51:26

maybe your character should do

51:27

this. Yeah. No. But

51:29

That's what we wanted 2 sure we had full

51:31

control over what we released and how often we And make

51:33

sure it was

51:33

written in blood. Yeah. And we had

51:36

a

51:36

pact. They didn't like it. They

51:37

didn't like that part, but we did

51:39

it's like the ending of it. We just all cut our

51:42

hands and held hands. They

51:43

took the blood elves. Awesome. So thank

51:45

you, bloody, disgusting for doing the blood elves with us.

51:47

Yeah. And then I'm trying to see what else

51:49

I oh, so another

51:51

that thing that's bloody disgusting is when

51:53

we talk to them, one thing

51:55

that they mentioned was, hey, can you guys do mid

51:58

rolls at some point? Sure. I told them

52:00

we do mid

52:00

rolls. No. No. Mid rolls for those of you

52:02

who don't know. There's pre rolls, post rolls,

52:04

and mid rolls. I'm sure it's getting very clear

52:06

now. Those are commercials -- Yeah. -- in

52:09

the beginning middle and end of the 2, and we

52:11

have always had a very no we're

52:13

not going to do any commercials in the middle middle

52:15

of our shows. Now

52:17

that's a kind of a double edged sword

52:20

because we are going

52:22

to start we make less for not putting them in, but one of the things

52:24

is we may have to start putting them in.

52:26

But the the bright side of that is we're

52:28

going to be giving you

52:30

longer

52:30

episodes. Yeah. So next season, now it could be anywhere it

52:32

could be eight, nine, ten episodes. We're not sure yet,

52:34

but we're gonna aim for forty

52:36

five minutes to an hour 2

52:40

our goal. That doesn't mean every episode will be like that, but

52:42

that's what we're hoping for. That

52:44

way, if we have, you know,

52:47

an ad in the middle at least. It's like you're still get you're getting

52:49

more content and we won't just, like,

52:52

throw it in there. It'll

52:53

be, like, you know, in a

52:55

good spot. It's not gonna be, like, Mike in the middle

52:57

of his conversation with Amber. It's like Oh, we

52:59

are babies. Are you older? We so

53:01

match. When you take mom, do

53:03

you explode with poop and beads? Right.

53:06

Yeah. Yeah.

53:07

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

53:10

I'm sorry.

53:10

You're not a liar. I don't know why I was upset all time. I've never

53:13

fucking point ever in my

53:16

life. But yeah.

53:17

I mean, The other

53:20

thing that I'll mention is

53:22

the release schedule, which

53:24

we've talked about, but I wanna say

53:26

that I don't know if we're gonna

53:28

be able I don't know

53:29

what we're gonna do. Yeah. We might

53:32

take a longer by this.

53:33

Metaphorical chips in the air right now. Well, and that's

53:35

the thing is where got a lot of stuff

53:38

going on, but we don't know if we're gonna take a longer

53:40

hiatus and then try to get all the

53:42

episodes done and then release them

53:44

either weekly or bi

53:45

weekly. Or if we're just gonna release

53:47

sooner, like take just a couple

53:49

months off, then really sooner, but then

53:51

release monthly like we did 4. Yeah.

53:53

People seem to hate that. So Yeah.

53:56

They

53:56

do. But then they also I don't know if

53:58

they're gonna wanna wait a

54:00

whole you know, eight months or whatever

54:02

it is to get all the episodes done too. 2

54:04

we'll figure it out we

54:09

we're not sure yet. We also have some other stuff in the

54:11

background, business stuff going on that

54:14

we're

54:15

testing out and things might change,

54:17

but we're still gonna be doing the shows. Yep. Don't

54:19

worry about that. Yeah. And you'll

54:22

always But the way we do it might be different.

54:24

Miss miss Gina and myself, although if we

54:26

get to hour long episodes, Mike might start

54:28

talking like this. Mhmm. And Jira

54:30

can have some email. He

54:31

said, maybe I

54:31

have to, like, I

54:34

was

54:35

definitely thinking

54:37

this. Great.

54:40

Yeah. But I overall, I thought, you know, so you did make that

54:42

comment earlier. And I I'm a whole I

54:44

wholeheartedly believe in when

54:47

you do a sequel to a movie. Like, coming

54:49

to America two, I can't watch it. Yeah. I cannot. I will not.

54:52

Because coming to America is one of the funniest

54:54

movies of all time and

54:56

it's like like an all time favorite of mine. I

54:58

can't watch a sequel to that because I feel like

55:00

it's gonna ruin it. What's the

55:02

other one? There's a lot

55:04

of them. No. But there was, like, Jurassic Park too. I didn't wasn't great.

55:06

2, Jurassic World too was really bad.

55:08

2. haven't even seen it so there you

55:10

go. 2 was bad. But I

55:13

always wanna say that I, like, I don't wanna see the

55:15

second

55:15

one, but I feel like this one actually kind of

55:18

exceeded expectations for me at least. I

55:20

think it ended on a high note So even if people

55:22

were like, oh, this is moving too slowly 2 oh,

55:24

I don't know about this part or something

55:26

like that. I think that it ended enough

55:28

on a high note -- Mhmm. -- I

55:30

feel

55:30

personally. I felt more stuff was introduced season than last season.

55:33

Yeah. Which last week was a

55:35

complete mystery. So everything to you

55:37

got was new information. 4

55:40

season, you got to play with a few of the puzzle pieces and

55:42

kinda be like,

55:43

oh, okay. I'm starting to kinda see where

55:45

things are going. And we're not gonna do

55:47

a lost thing where like,

55:49

nothing's answered or, like, the numbers in season

55:51

one are just on the lighthouse at the

55:53

end. We

55:54

discussed Which is everybody would

55:56

have been dead the whole time. Or I

55:58

even signed my computer or in a purgatory. That's

56:01

it. Yeah. Yep.

56:02

No. We're not doing

56:04

we won't do a loss Somebody

56:06

did reference lost in the questions. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I've mentioned

56:08

that, like, you know, the mystery in the

56:11

woods and everything like that. Like,

56:14

that is there is a lot of, like, inspiration from Lost.

56:16

Yeah. I I'm a huge just I I

56:18

love movies. There's a lot of shows

56:20

I love.

56:21

And stuff like that. So when I writing a

56:23

lot of times, I I go all the way

56:25

back. That's why Todd Browning is

56:28

referencing

56:28

this. Hello? I love old movies. I'm -- Yeah. -- too. So

56:31

I go everywhere and I take inspiration from different

56:33

things. Some might say, unlike the

56:35

Tarantino of Audio dramas.

56:38

I would better say

56:39

People have said it. I don't have said it. And

56:41

I don't expect people to say it. 2

56:43

lid out of

56:44

the capri of audio dramas I've

56:47

known around my bathroom

56:50

is Yeah. Of course. As

56:52

you hold the bar so pretending it's an

56:54

Oscar. Yeah. Or a shampoo bottle.

56:56

Thank

56:56

you. Thank you so much. Yeah. It's

56:58

tender than it

56:59

looks. Yeah. Wow. That's great. Nice.

57:02

Anyway. Yeah. So, I

57:04

mean, there's you know, we got a lot

57:05

of things in the work, and we're definitely out with season

57:08

three and season three. Possibly even a few weeks in

57:10

the work. I was about

57:10

to say. So so we've even visioned

57:13

this kind of four 4. Yeah.

57:15

It's

57:15

gonna be

57:16

shorter. It's gonna be shorter than our other stuff.

57:18

But That's I think that's like, I

57:20

love

57:20

Tower four, but I

57:21

think that's good. Yeah. Because

57:23

so many times it's like and then and

57:26

then one more thing Well, I don't

57:28

want to go too

57:28

far for sure. 4 think four seasons would

57:31

be solid because it's also

57:33

powerful. Right. So if we can make it

57:35

work, Mike

57:35

figures out the laser eyes

57:38

and we're good. I as long

57:39

as I don't do a George 4 Martin

57:41

thing where I to spam the story too much that I 2. And

57:43

then every van has to be never

57:45

tie together. Yeah. I just

57:47

like too much that, like, season four

57:49

ends up being, like, thirty five

57:51

episodes because I just need to get it done and, like, I can't do it in

57:53

ten. So, I mean, hopefully

57:55

not, but that's

57:59

Four is what we're aiming for. Yeah. And I think

58:02

four would be a a good place

58:03

to

58:03

stop. Now if we do spin offs or something like that,

58:06

who knows? But at

58:08

least for Mike's story and this story. Yeah. The the two

58:10

season 2 of Amber and

58:12

Mike. Yeah. Amber, that would be

58:14

that that might be Atriana

58:17

please see. Yeah. There you go. Even that

58:19

maybe,

58:19

like, what's in show is this? Yeah.

58:21

Are you guys talking

58:23

about it there? Banana chips.

58:24

Orest. Okay. Banana chips, please

58:26

go away. Yeah. Yeah.

58:28

So I thought that was a

58:30

pretty good little recap. I loved the

58:33

four page monologue I got in the

58:34

beginning, and I only I only slipped up eight times,

58:37

I feel --

58:37

Yeah. -- about I know he you guys because

58:40

some of you could see him in

58:42

video land He sat there with a pencil and just checked it off every

58:43

Actually, I got out

58:44

twice to let your dog came in barging

58:46

into the door. We have English bulldogs

58:48

and they don't care about this door

58:51

being closed. They it she pushed it open, and then I was petting

58:53

her for a while, and then she wanted to 4. So I'm trying

58:55

1:01:12

1:01:34

has been a seven

1:01:36

lamb production. And

1:01:39

now for the

1:01:42

trailer of the Hitler file.

1:01:45

Now playing from

1:01:48

voyage media, a new

1:01:50

historical thriller that takes you

1:01:52

into the mind of the world's most

1:01:54

terrifying dictator through

1:01:55

the man who unlocks it and uses

1:01:58

it to destroy him. Hey,

1:02:00

brooding with a thick brush

1:02:02

mustache. He stands at

1:02:04

attention while it looks at

1:02:06

me. I can feel his eyes

1:02:08

boring into me. I read

1:02:10

the medical file, date of Hitler,

1:02:12

corporal, signal runner

1:02:13

sixteenth, Must've gas victim at

1:02:16

Ukraine in nineteen

1:02:18

eighteen. I

1:02:19

am not a victim.

1:02:22

We have frequent sessions

1:02:24

during corporal Hitler's stay here

1:02:26

at Berlin. Do you truly want help?

1:02:29

You tell me the truth.

1:02:30

No one else around me

1:02:33

does as long as I

1:02:35

live and breathe, we shall

1:02:37

be yoke together starring Peter Stormaire

1:02:39

from Fargo and Constantine. I knew

1:02:41

the choice I

1:02:44

was making. This could

1:02:46

only end with one of

1:02:48

us dead.

1:02:50

Then I

1:02:51

knew whatever the

1:02:54

cost whatever my Hippocratic Oath demanded, I

1:02:56

would not stop my intention to kill

1:02:59

Hitler as only

1:03:01

I knew how and Dennis O'Hare from American horror

1:03:03

story and

1:03:03

true blood. Guilty? Of course, 2 were

1:03:06

guilty. If I say they were guilty, they

1:03:08

were guilty. They have been trying to kill me

1:03:11

since nineteen two and have never succeeded. I

1:03:14

shall never succeed. I shall kill

1:03:16

myself before any of them should do

1:03:18

so. To understand
