Guest on a podcast: Eugene Bobukh. Sr. Data Scientist at Microsoft
From a speaker:
"A Person is a Project.
When I came to America, I actually wasted a lot of my time. How young people like me can avoid those mistakes?
A person is really a dual creature, consisting of a biological being and his/her projects. Either side without another does not have good prospects.
How can you change yourself? You change the projects you do. Then they change you. Sometimes it is as simple as setting up an alarm clock, sometimes as large as a life-long mission. But it is always a two-step process. First, you select something that *you* can change and what you trust enough. Then, you let it change yourself in response.
So it is extremely important that you track your projects. Not just sit dream about them. You write them down. Review and prioritize them regularly, and execute. Learn basic Project Manager skills. Learn how to prioritize, how to consolidate the schedules. Because you are what your schedule is, in a sense.
In a sense, we humans love to reproduce things. We can reproduce ourselves -- in kids. We can reproduce cultural values -- by writing, talking, filming, posting. We can recreate material values, by doing business that works with them. Or... we can reproduce just consumption goods -- by consuming more of it and encouraging more if it to be made..."
