Putin and his commanders must have strategically planned for its March toward Ukrainian borders. Submitting Ukraine would have indirectly subdued neighboring bordering countries. The USA and Russia need each other to win a war; US attacks were doomed and lead to embarrassing failures. Russia was crushed by the Mojahedeen, but it managed to win the war for Asad which may lead to egoistic panache in Russia’s ability to win over all wars. Ukraine is turning to be a failure with countries floating to Apply to NATO.
