Andrew Biswell is the Professor of Modern Literature at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). He won the Portico Prize for his biography, The Real Life of AnthonyBurgess, and is Director of the Anthony Burgess Centre in Manchester. He was also Director of MMU's well-respected MA in Creative Writing in the School of Writing.
