An escape from a WW2 prison camp and 200-mile journey on foot through a mountain range to safety sound like something from a far-fetched adventure story, but it all happened to a young soldier from St Ann’s in Nottingham in 1943.
We Share These Streets tells true tales of everyday folk in bygone Nottingham.
