Carlton D. Clyburn Jr. serves as the president of Highland Park’s city council. In a region with so many big cities, Highland Park is characterized by a small-town mentality, and Clyburn is working hard to move the community forward. In this episode, he talks about city developments underway, Highland Park’s restaurants, new city ordinances, a fitness grant, and what he — and other residents can do — for self-care during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Sen. Adam Hollier (D–Detroit) represents residents of the 2nd District in Wayne County that includes the cities of Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Woods, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and Highland Park, and the Village of Grosse Pointe Shores.
