Featured GuestKamel Shaath was trying to think of a way they could help give back during these hard times. He developed a program that will help business, save the Earth and feed over one million hungry kids.

The Junk-A-Juke program will enable businesses to upgrade their older storage systems for free. Many companies are still using old storage equipment (many of which are being "end of lifed" by Dell and HP) and in need of upgrades. These systems can cost into the hundreds of thousands (depending on capacity). Old storage solutions tend to be bulky and are costly to dispose of. As a result, more than 80% end up in landfills.

KOM Networks is doing this not only so they can keep the equipment from landfills, but they will break down the systems and sell the components or raw materials (though KOM's recycling partner). The money raised is going to help fight hunger through Feed The Children (www.feedthechildren.org). Businesses of any size can take advantage and they can get rid of any older computer equipment taking up space in closets, server rooms, data centers, etc. They can also write of the recycled costs as charitable giving. KOM arranges the pickup, recycling, and installation of a brand new Dell powered storage/archive solution.

This helps businesses with storage needs, the earth and hungry kids at the same time. KOM's goal is to feed one million hungry kids (15 million kids die every year of starvation).
