QUESTION 3 - “Which Professor Are You?”
In the third episode, we will question the figure of the professor or, better yet, the type of professor. The question posed by Vanessa Grünig, a student at the ETH Zurich, points out a number of possibilities when approaching teaching and learning: the toolkit, the master, the content… But the underlying question seems to me to be “which professor are you?”
Vanessa specifically asked me to pose the question to architecture professors. And so I did: Carla Juaçaba, Vale Medina, and Keith Krumwiede, three very different personalities but equally inescapable figures in my own map of teaching references, shared with us their positions on this question.

Guests: Carla Juaçaba, Valle Medina and Keith Krumwiede.

This small Q&A radio show is based on a fictional premise: Socrates was an intern at Eupalino’s architecture office in Lisbon, back in 450 bC. Having some trouble understanding his role, he started questioning everything, eventually leading to the socratic method. The show uses this now famed method to decompose the board question of the education of the architect. I will be asking your questions to a group of interested, interesting and inspiring people. Each show, a new question.
