Hello everyone! My name is Jess and I am in no way a qualified historian. I am just a massive history buff! Whilst the world is going into some lockdown madness, I thought I would share with you the stories of the obscure and not-as-talked about F*cked up Sh*t that happened during World War 2, which is why my podcast is named: WTF WWII.

On this episode, I talk about the kidnapping of children by the Nazi's during WW2, cover off some f*cked up sh*t about experiments at Auschwitz, ethnic cleansing and tell you why it's probably not a great idea to make out in an ancient Jewish cemetery.

There are a couple of references and links for this episode:

  • "I was Doctor Mengele's Assistant" - book by Miklós Nyiszli
  • Wikipedia entry "Kidnapping of Children by Nazi Germany" for the quote: "we should exclude from deportations racially valuable children and raise them in old Reich in proper educational facilities or in German family care. The children must not be older than eight or ten years, because only till this age we can truly change their national identification, that is "final Germanization". A condition for this is complete separation from any Polish relatives. Children will be given German names, their ancestry will be led by special office."
  • And the image of this episode's image of Polish children in Nazi-German labor camp in Dzierżązna near Zgierz. Among the child prisoners were Polish girls resettled from Zamojszczyzna (unknown photographer)

If I have missed anything in this episode, or noted dates that are incorrect, please let me know in a really nice way. Don't be a douche about it. My aim here is to help ignite the passion to learn and to NOT REPEAT PAST MISTAKES.

Thank you,

Jess
