Hello everybody, I just wanted to make
0:02
a quick announcement on the podcast
0:04
feeds. Obviously, I've posted this up on
0:06
all of our social media. I posted this on YouTube,
0:08
all that kind of stuff, but I just wanted to
0:10
put it out there because I know there's a few of you that only
0:13
listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or
0:15
whatever it may be. So
0:17
basically, we can't release any episodes
0:19
for the time being because of the SAG-AFTRA
0:21
strike. Basically, what
0:23
it is is that several of the cast members
0:26
are hopefuls who want to join
0:28
the union in the future and the union
0:30
has put out rules that have said that basically
0:33
anybody who participates in work
0:36
that promotes struck content, which
0:38
Power Rangers and X-Men are both included
0:41
in that because they're owned by Netflix
0:44
and Disney respectively, who are the two big ones in
0:46
streaming. So
0:49
anybody that participates in that will be
0:51
blacklisted from joining the union in the future.
0:54
I don't agree with that stance. I agree
0:56
with the cause that they are fighting for, but I
0:59
don't think that these
1:01
rules or guidelines are particularly fair to
1:03
people like us who
1:06
are just trying to make their own
1:08
shows, their own versions of things. We're not necessarily trying
1:10
to promote the originals, but I also see the other
1:12
side of it is, you know, it'll drive people
1:15
to go and, you know, sign up to Netflix and watch
1:17
the original shows to compare it to ours, all that kind
1:19
of stuff. So for that reason,
1:21
I can't release any more episodes. We will continue to produce
1:23
episodes. I will continue to
1:26
write episodes. The cast will continue to record
1:28
episodes. So hopefully what will happen
1:30
is if this really drags on, we'll come back
1:33
and we'll have, you know, a two or three episode
1:35
backlog where I can just be like,
1:37
right, okay, here we go. Week
1:39
one, episode eight, week two, episode nine,
1:42
you know, or in X-Men's case, it'd
1:44
be, you know, season four episodes, one,
1:46
two, three, one week after another, you know,
1:49
hopefully that's an ideal world. That'd be the case.
1:51
Hopefully it's over sooner rather than later, but
1:53
I just wanted to let you know that we're not
1:56
going anywhere. The shows will come
1:58
back, but
1:59
I think you guys understand my reasoning
2:02
because if I do decide
2:05
that I want to continue with these
2:07
shows before the strike finishes,
2:09
I'd have to replace all the cast members
2:12
who are SAG eligible. And that does include
2:14
some of the best members of our cast and it would negatively
2:17
affect the shows. So yeah,
2:20
I hope you understand my reasonings and understand
2:23
the reasons of the cast. Like we said, I
2:25
don't agree with it personally from the
2:27
union standpoint, but it
2:29
is what it is and we just have to abide
2:31
by it. So we'll be back as soon
2:34
as we can. As soon as the strike is over, you
2:36
know, I'll get episodes to you. We've got bonus
2:39
episodes, we've got all sorts of stuff. I will continue
2:41
to post stuff on the Patreon, we'll continue
2:43
to do all the extra content and I
2:45
will continue to post episodes when they're
2:47
done on the Patreon because,
2:50
you know, there's no way that we could
2:52
promote it to only, you know, 20 to 50
2:54
people are ever going to see that. So it's,
2:56
you know, it's behind a paywall and nobody's
2:59
going to get into trouble for that one. So when
3:01
I do finish scenes and episodes, even in an unfinished
3:04
form, I'll post them up on there, but
3:06
they won't be sent out for general lease until
3:09
the strike is done. All right. Thank you,
3:11
everybody. And we'll see you as soon
3:12
as we can.
