"The reason you're sick, lost your job, your car was stolen and your marriage is failing is because God is trying to teach you a lesson." 

Have you heard anything like this before? Trying to make sense of difficult times through this logic? Don't worry, it's not TRUE! God sent Jesus to DIE for the Sin of the world so we could receive the Abundant life of Grace. 

We've used the bible Character Job as a poster boy for understanding our trials. "Yeah Mike, the reason you have a terminal disease is because you have an idol in your life." What nonsense! Or...You didn't clean the house when your wife asked you. (This is Me being facetious) I'm joking, obviously, but we've made suffering into this Cat and mouse game between us and God. This isn't true.

Let's slow down, put our grace glasses on and begin to see this through the New Covenant of Grace and a little pinch of LOGIC.
