Two new BFFs who make me happy! Listening to this podcast is like having 2 new best women friends who are wise, funny, and kind to themselves, each other and others. What great role models of successful women who are flawed, working to improve themselves and also loving themselves. And this before all the happiness advice kicks in! I started listening a year into this podcast and had the pleasure of starting from the beginning with a whole year’s worth of episodes to listen to. Besides the happiness hacks I used and the four tendencies framework that explained me and my partner, what I got was a friendly and buoyant lift to my morning routine, my commute, and my late night dish washing. Gretchen and Elizabeth’s kindness with each other and the people in their lives is one of the best lessons I have absorbed. I was so sad when my back-up episodes came to an end and I had to wait a week for each one, but I’ve adjusted. Gretchen has so much to share from her research on happiness and habits, and she is so skilled at applying this knowledge to her own life and the lives of listeners and readers, that I’ve absorbed it just by listening. Thank you Gretchen and Elizabeth!
Up-to-date expert writing support! This podcast is such a gift as well as an inspiration to writers who want to know more about the craft and/or the business of writing. Between Brooke Warner’s expertise and connections in publishing and the craft of writing memoir, and Grant Faulkner’s experience writing and publishing novels, including directing NaNoWriMo, I feel I’m getting the most current possible guidance about writing and publishing today. Their conversation is always filled with insights and quotable tips on the theme of the day, their pep talk, green-light moment, and writing action segments always inspire me, and then they bring on their guest, who is always the expert I most want to hear from on that theme. What a generous gift. Thank you Brooke and Grant!
So supportive for older women! This is a combination of close girlfriends talking about what it’s like to date after age 30, 40, 50 and older, sharing advice and supporting each other to go on, and a wise big sister who truly cares about each woman. I was so impressed with host Jodi Klein’s generosity to help midlife women during the dating process by creating this podcast, so they are inspired to keep dating until they find their partner, as she did. The way she supportively interviews each woman about her date elicits honesty, tenderness, good humor, and insights. The episodes range from heartfelt, confident, and hilarious to sobering, and I love how Jodi always ends with the lessons and tips for other women. I’m going to recommend to all my single women friends, Brava Jodi!
