This is like a soap opera set in outer space. A group of around 200 people living together on a refitted asteroid heading towards the next nearest star system, dealing with internal and external conflicts. Very well written. The plot is based on real, hard science, and does a good job of imagining what space travel might really look like in the future.

I’m a little late to the party listening to this popular show. I read a lot of good things about it so my expectations were high. I wasn’t entirely sure it merited all that praise after listening to the first episode, but once I got into it, I fell in love. It is charming and cozy and heart-warming. So nice to listen to! I fully understand now why everyone is raving about it. If you want to feel al warm and gooey, while being transported to a different astral plane and hanging out with gas station attendants and coyotes in the afterlife, then listen to Desert Skies.
