RATING
Tower 4 is a podcast that's got me totally hooked. It's got a few glitches, like no added audio to emphasise certain parts, but it's still super soothing. The cast is small, the music is amazing, and the plot is pretty solid, keeping you engaged all the way. The script is top-notch; it's so good that I've ditched my audiobook for Tower 4. The only downside is the long breaks between episodes with not much happening in the story. Still, the story itself is good, intriguing, and mysterious. One small issue is that Amber's voice could be louder. Unfortunately, the frustration of waiting so long between episodes really bugs me.
This podcast has well-written stories with a cool plot, but it takes time for them to come together. Some characters are clearly voiced by the same actor, which can be confusing. Overall, it's an enjoyable break from The NoSleep Podcast, offering subtly spooky tales in a different style. The premise of interviewing people who've encountered the supernatural is interesting. The stories are decent, and the narration is creepy. Definitely worth a try for horror fiction and anthology fans.
In my honest opinion, this podcast is a bit of a mixed bag. Personally, I think it's awesome and hilarious. It's cool to hear different people's perspectives. But, I wish there were more comedians on the show. While there are some really great moments, it's starting to feel a bit repetitive, especially with Ed Gamble's over-the-top laughter at James Acaster's jokes. It's like the podcast got a bit too full of itself, which is kind of disappointing. It used to be one of my faves, but now it feels like it knows it's popular and tries too hard. Another problem is the guest selection being hit-or-miss. Overall, it's got its ups and downs as a podcast.
