I really enjoyed this episode, and wanted to include other information on "No Judgment Day". The song was written by Allen Shamblin, writer of such hits as Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me", David Ball's "Thinkin' Problem" and John Michael Montgomery's "Life's a Dance", among others. It tells the true story of a restaurant owner in Texas who was murdered by a former employee and two accomplices in search of money. Decca Records didn't want the song included on "It Would Be You", but Gary felt so strong about it that he bumped one of his own songs to include it on the album at the last minute. Overall, I think Gary is one of the most underrated singers in country music, and thank you for sharing the story on how DJs discovered "No Judgment Day" on this episode.
