The first Citizen spotlight episode is one I come back to again and again for a lot of reasons, and I think this one will be the same. I think of all kinds of night vale episodes, the ones that zero in on smaller, often unknown members of the community are my favourite. Night vale in a lot of ways is about love; love between people, love between families and friends and community and lovers and a town. and I guess I just, love that. Joseph and Jeffrey really know how to write love in so many different, diverse and nuanced ways. S+H forever! :-) I also really enjoyed the different slant on the concept of never being the same person as you were at any other point in your life. Much to think about. Everything about this episode felt new and familiar all at the same time. Brilliant.

It's??? the perfect podcast!!

Not gonna lie, the "spooky sea" concept had me a little dubious, but pushing my fears aside.... Okay probably shouldn't have done that because shit this podcast is SCARY, but also SO GOOD. Like, incredibly good. Particularly enjoy the monologues that bookend most episodes, but that's probably because most of the rest of the time I'm on the edge of my seat. The acting is phenomenal, the writing is of course brilliant. The music is gorgeous and atmospheric. The story itself is really interesting and i'm super excited to see where it goes!
