Interesting story telling device having one of the characters becoming the literal eyes for the audience. The story could be a little tighter? I am 7 episodes in and not a whole lot of real progress in the past few episodes.[Edit:] This monster of the week format starting to feel like a horror video game.One of my issues with this series is that there's not much clue if John(?) is good or evil, or any backstories of the character. The listener is expected to just go along and not ask questions?The formula of exploration, encounter monster, running for his life, rinse and repeat without any direct connection with the main mystery is getting tiring.Good sound mix, but somehow feel a little amateurish. Neither the writing, acting, or audio mix were on the same level as the best of QCode productions.Parts of John's narration sound like a description from a book rather than someone describing what they are seeing to another. I found it to be jarring and unrealistic. Here's hoping the show will get better in season 2 or I'm going to drop it.I bumped my rating up one star after finding out that this show was a one man band. I can only imagine how much go into producing, writing, recording, and promoting a podcast, so it's not fair to compare the show to a production house like QCode. Desert Skies (season 1) is one of my favourite podcast, and it's also a one man show.

It wasn't too difficult to work out the identity of Jackie. Despite that, this was a high quality, well made, entertaining show. Not too long to have overstayed it's welcome.I would recommend the show to fan's of Sherlock Holmes with a side of humour.
