Yes there has been a little break since Episode 5 came out.  Life just got in the way and I got too caught up in the whirlwind to record something epic for the podcast.  But lets just say Episode 6 could quite possibly be my favorite conversation so far!!  With a little help from Rachel Johnson who has now featured twice on the show, we got to chat with Kristina Webster, Director of Programs at Girls Inc of Greater Santa Barbara.  Kristina is truly dedicated to the mission of Girls Inc which is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold.  Having worked for Girls Inc for seventeen years, Kristina has played a major role in helping girls in the Santa Barbara area to grow up feeling confident, informed and ready to take on the world.  We talk about how the issues girls face have changed over the last two decades, how Girls Inc provides a safe place for the girls to talk about life experiences and the programs the organization offers in their mission to make all girls strong, smart and bold.  We explore the importance of female friendships, the influence of social media and open up about defining moments throughout our own lives where we have been made to feel different as females.  This really was a fun heart warming conversation and one that should be listened to by anyone with daughters, nieces or awesome young girls in their life.  Girls, the world is your oyster so go chase your dreams!
