We often dream up our businesses based on an untamable idea or an unconsciously drawn interest, only to realize afterward that we're neck-deep in details. Imagine chasing a vision you don't know would become a bankable career in the coming years: how do you move forward despite not knowing if it will materialize?

Enter Dr. Elizabeth Stroot, an Entrepreneur, Executive Coach, Corporate Clinical Advisor, Wife, Mother, and the founder of Core Wellness Physical Therapy. Dr. Elizabeth chased her hazy vision of researching integrative wellness (before it was even a thing!) out of her sheer fascination with the human body's functioning. Her love for medicine, traditional allopathic subjects, and everything we now call integrative health, wellness, and medicine (and what was then called "alternative therapies"). Her path encouraged her to shadow experts in the field, from orthopedic surgeons to physical therapists, reflexologists and yoga instructors, Elizabeth's passion involved learning from anyone about looking objectively at how the body feels and functions – and the emotions that go with it.

In this episode, Elizabeth explains how everything about our bodies is connected and how all our questions and problems, including worries about a career change, can be addressed by first feeling our inner vibrations. She talks about the power of visualization, changing what you embody, and exuding energy to others in helping draw the right people or certain clientele to you.

She also talks about the mind-body connection by explaining how patients with chronic pain or old injuries see their pain manifest into trauma – physically, mentally, and emotionally. The key to navigating those painful phases is constructing small wins in the head, changing the narrative to" how I can still do everything I ever wanted to do", maybe just not as fast as others. As an endless optimist, Elizabeth believes in setting goals, even if it's in your 40s and 50s, and envisioning them – because that's where everything begins. She also shares what it takes to be a good therapist and how to help patients feel safe around you.

Elizabeth reveals learning from the lows of her life, especially the loss of her father during the pandemic, a period of a thousand unknowns, about the power of showing up. She also gets into "The Great Resignation" that's come about post-pandemic and why it's a sign people are starting to recognize their priorities in life.

Episode Highlights:
●  Inventing an open door policy for your therapy clients – creating a safe, vulnerable space for them to talk about their problems than live with them internally in their minds.
●  Working through emotional pain is essential for relief from physical pain.
●  The Great Resignation is people's awakening to the hamster wheel of life that they've been running on for so long, realizing what they've been into only when they stopped.
●  The roadblocks we throw up in front of ourselves as we fear doing something new. ●  Finding a new rhythm after the pandemic.
●  Working with the conflict of how we're raised and shaped to be go-getters.
●  Formulating your unique strategies for growth.
