Actually the Newsnight 'vicar' and the drugs scene at Bestival do not feature in this episode.  It's just clickbait really to reduce my age demographic down into the millennial zone. Don't hold your breath, especially you octogenarians!

Anyhoo, we continue with my rather lugubrious trawl through chapter 5 of Hound of the Baskervilles. Will I make it? 

The one in which I blow my nose and think rather wistfully, out loud of course, about the prospects of having a mini pork pie for my lunch.

Dear listener, what I actually had for lunch was a kind of wrap (the wrap - when did that happen?) - with various salad items and some meat which looked like chicken and was labelled 'Chicken Breast Trim'. Has it come to this? Bernard Matthew's offcuts. I fear it has.

I hope to put out a festive edition but if not, er, happy holidays. Is that what we say now? And for those not having a holiday, happy, um, ongoing humanist festival free bleakness...
