With his 15 years of teaching experienceand a background in mental health and human resources, this is where MillsRodgers steps in. He is dedicated to empowering educators and leaders tocreate equitable and inclusive learning and working environments. As aconsultant, speaker, and author at Rodgers Speaks, he delivers engaging andimpactful presentations and workshops on topics such as championing andsupporting all students, developing a growth mindset, and buildingrelationships with parents and stakeholders, thereby making a significantimpact on the education system.

 

Rodgersalso provides coaching and guidance on personal branding, character, andleadership to individuals and organizations that want to achieve their personaland professional goals. He draws from his own experiences as an educator, aveteran, and a lifelong learner, as well as his certifications inprincipalship, generalist, and special education. He authored the book series"Success Is A Process, Not An Event," which shares insights and tipson education, character, and personal development. Prior to his currentprofession, Rodgers held several positions in various schools, such as specialeducation teacher, general education science teacher, science instructionalcoach, academic instructional coach, administrative intern, and substituteassistant principal.

 

Duringhis time in the US Army, Rodgers served as a mental health NCO, a role that isequivalent to a civilian counselor. As a parent to his oldest daughter, who hasmoderate to severe autism, he has firsthand experience of the unique challengesfaced by families with special needs children. Rodgers believes that thesechallenges are often overlooked by educators and the public, which is why he ispassionate about creating awareness and sharing his insights. His work isfocused on addressing these overlooked challenges and advocating for a moreinclusive and understanding education system.
