In this episode Jocelyn and I discuss the idea that the world tells us that we need certain things (approval of others, money, success, control, pride, power, etc.) to feel happy, fulfilled, secure, and loved. Yet none of these things will ever accomplish this goal; they will only leave us emptier than before. This episode in particular we talked about how money in itself is not a bad thing, but that the love for money is often a vehicle that feeds all of the other idols. Only Jesus himself can fulfill us in all the ways the things in the world can't because He has created us specifically to be most fulfilled, secure, loved, and at peace when we are in a relationship with Him.
