[WORKSHOP] How to Write a Sales Page That Converts (into Sales) -💫 including template! I had a friend & mastermind buddy ask for advice on sales pages.

I had someone ask me, how to write sales pages - how many stories to add, how much CTA how much 'pain points' and when in the message enough.
I have been writing sales pages and sales copies since 2012. (Nowadays, I kinda do it in my sleep:P) It comes naturally to turn an idea into the persuasive language (sales copy) that makes people want to trip over themselves they want to buy! That came from years of practice. While writing is a skill, so is sales copywriting and it can't be learned.
... I “see” sales copy, Sixth-Sense Style. It is kinda one of my superpowers! I actually had to stop and think about what exactly I do - because I do it UNCONSCIOUSLY! Ha!
#1. PREP.I need to do prep work when writing sales pages. Being WHO are you writing to (when we are writing to everyone we are writing to NO ONE.) You don't want broad and specific, but more individual and personal.
You have probably heard of the 'ICA Activity' or Target Market Activity - the whole KNOW who you are talking to - what are their desires, dreams, deepest fears, problems, and their pain. AND what language they use.
#2. USE THEIR WORDS.HOW I do this is asking direct questions and keep a record of the answers. I keep a 'sales copy bank' - literally a folder on my computer. The LANGUAGE they use is sales copy GOLD. And you want to include as MUCH as possible in your sales page. (Yes, even when writing your story).Remember, they are buying a solution to a problem. It is something transformational, deeply personal and relevant to them.
#3. CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS.Make it really clear what they are getting! From location (online, offline, where), date, type of event, specifics and the nuts + bolts. Don't use cute names here - normal everyday language.It is perfect to put clear instructions under subheadings like - What's Included, How it Works, Who it is for/not for, FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) and Next Steps.
#4. TESTIMONIALSYou have highlighted the benefits, conveyed features, handled objections, provided evidence with testimonials and personal success stories.Use someone's opinion of your work/product/services - their words and a picture of their face. While you love YOUR thing (of course you do), it is 10 x more powerful when someone ELSE loves your thing. You can NOT have enough TESTIMONIALS! (If you have had no previous students/clients - give away for free in exchange for testimonial!)
#5. CLOSE WITH THOUGHT.The final section is for final thoughts. Write from the heart, write with personality, from a safe place. ''Hey, this might not be for you, right now. That's okay, my friend!''Summarise the sales page in just 2-3 sentences!
#6. EASE OF READING.Don't make people's eyes bleed. The content is AS IMPORTANT as readability. I can' not stress that enough. Make it easy to read, gentle on the eyes, for the skim readers, with a combination of bold/italics/underline, 2-3 fonts maximum (no comic sans!), a combo of text, images and add a video! And NO black background! It is really hard to read!Add spaces, indents, buffers, blocks of colour, sprinkle images, dot points//bullet points. You get it.
#7. TRANSFORMATION.Your offering is a transformation. From BEFORE to AFTER. It has specific results or results achieved. Convey that (in their language).Remember, it is how it BENEFITS them. Not you. In 1-3 sentences share the Unique Value Proposition (UVP - the transformation).
#8. TEMPLATE📌A compelling headling - (capture attention - don't even mention 'course' or 'coaching'! 📌The headline and tag line (UVP) prequalifies readers needs/wants and promises results)📌An opening story - (introduce the problem, transformation action, from CURRENT PAIN and future PLEASURE)📌Bullet-points - (highlight benefits of the solution, what they will experience)📌Solution/Offer - (introduce course/package and each inclusion = specific benefit📌Bonuses - (3-5 that increase perceived $ value - be sure to list value!📌Testimonials - (social proof)📌Credibility - (bio of who are you + why someone listens to you, knowledge and experience. Give yourself a cute titile!)📌FAQs - (overcome objections)📌Pricing Details - (clear CTA - call to action - next direct action step you want people to take. 3 options 3 price points!)📌Risk Reversal - (satisfied guarantee)📌P.S. - (summarise in a few sentences wrapped in a personal note
