Back by popular demand (!!) Ian Oliver joins the podcast as co-host to generally raise the standard as we interview British Judo's Paralympic Head Coach and Scunthorpe's finest, Ian Johns.
Talking frankly and honestly, Ian describes his route into judo and his competitive journey and highlights. He talks with great fondness of Grimsby judo club, of Terry and Jenny Alltoft and the impact they had on Ian growing up and coming through the sport and the strong training group at the club.
Ian also reflects on his road to the Head coach role for the Paralympic Judo team, the relationships, culture, identity, characters, successes and the legacy he and those in the group are trying to create for generations to come.
A great listen. It's a LONG LISTEN (!!!), but definitely worth it!
