In this episode, I got to interview someone who I know extremely well and my first leadership role model – it’s my father – Jeff Smith. He is someone that has been able to accomplish a lot when it comes to leadership. He is currently the manager for the McGill University Health Center (or MUHC) medical records department for all sites in Montreal (pediatrics and adult sites). In addition, he has been the Quebec Provincial Commissioner for Scouts Canada, a 4 time Deputy National Commissioner for Scouts Canada and has received the Queen's Jubilee and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee awards, just to name a few. He has created and led multiple leadership training courses over the last 30 years and has led complex initiatives in the government sector. Also, he has chaired a number of national and international events through scouting and met with world leaders and European royalty. In this podcast, we discuss his leadership journey, his philosophy on creating a great team and his leadership heroes. At the end of the podcast I asked him a series of questions, questions I ask during a learning session with potential mentors. This episode you are about to hear was done in a single recording, no breaks.
